Kindergarten art regional activities are effective for young children to gain core experiences such as aesthetic perception,aesthetic expression and aesthetic creation,with great importance in the formation of young children’s artistic accomplishment and the development of other key abilities.Practical studies have found that the "learning" of young children and the "teaching" of teachers in art regional activities are prone to remain superficial,which affects not only the quality of children’s learning,but also the effectiveness of art regional activities.Deep learning,as a high-quality and meaningful form of learning,has a promoting effect on learners’ acquisition of knowledge and experience,as well as the development of their learning abilities.Therefore,with the central goal of "supporting children’s deep learning and improving the quality of kindergarten art regional activities",this study explores how to support children’s deep learning in art regional activities.Firstly,based on the self-developed "Evaluation Scale for Deep Learning of Children in Art Regional Activities",a survey was conducted on the current situation of deep learning among four topclasses of children in Art Regional Activities in Shanghai A Kindergarten.Spss25.0 was used to conduct descriptive statistical analysis on the collected evaluation data of 98 children.The study found that the overall average of deep learning level among children was 3.46,which is at a low level deep learning compared to the five level grades According to the analysis of various fields and indicator levels in the evaluation scale,it is found that children are insufficient in understanding and mastering the core art experience,problem solving,communication and cooperation,learning transfer,reflective evaluation and other abilities.On the other hand,the study combined the results of the scale analysis with case studies of children’s activities to further analyze and explain the problems in children’s deep learning.Secondly,through the analysis of teacher interviews,the main factors that affect children’s deep learning in art regional activities were summarized,including children’s learning motivation,metacognition,cognitive structure,activity materials,activity atmosphere,activity design,teacher support and peer cooperation.Finally,based on the research results,this study summarizes the design principles for art regional activities based on deep learning from the aspects of activity objectives,content,form,and evaluation;At the same time,specific suggestions have been provided for teachers to support children’s deep learning,including enriching their core experience in the field of art,improving their problem-solving ability in activities,strengthening their communication and cooperation abilities with peers,developing their learning transfer ability in activities,and cultivating their reflective and evaluative abilities in activities.
