Facing Uncertainty:Multiple Emotional Risks And Their Governance In Urban Communities

With the continuous deepening of modernization transformation and the rapid change of social structure,the relatively definite social structure of traditional society has been broken,and the social characteristics have undergone a transformation process from certainty to social risk and then to uncertainty.Uncertainty risk has become an important representation of modern society.The frequent occurrence of risk events not only brings challenges to social and economic development,but also a series of social changes that will inevitably impact and destroy the emotions of people as social subjects.The social emotional crisis will spread and cause new problems.At the same time,contemporary urban communities are undergoing an unprecedented modernization transformation,which is full of various forms of emotional risks.This study adopts the method of case study,taking the community emotion in District X of Wuxi City as the research object,collecting qualitative data through text analysis,semi-structured interview and participant observation,and organizing and analyzing it in the form of three-level coding.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn: There are mainly three kinds of emotional risks in urban communities.Structural emotional risks focus on the "emotional absence" of community institutional space,the "emotional alienation" of mechanism operation and the "emotional disregard" covered by technology.Subjective emotional risks are analyzed from the aspects of individual emotional alienation,group mentality disorder and frequent emotional action.Situational emotional risk focuses on the emotional lapse caused by the decline of traditional community,the emotional apathy caused by the sluggish community publicity,and the outbreak of universal emotional crisis in the community context.These are the emotional risks faced by community governance.Emotion has become a new aspect of community governance transformation,aiming to reconstruct a good emotional system of residents in the community through community emotional governance.However,at the same time,traditional risks are transforming into new uncertain risks.The emotional risks of urban communities are accompanied by development vitality and development opportunities.Community is also an important form of emotional risk governance,and it is necessary to resolve multiple emotional risks in urban communities in the era of uncertainty by emotional governance.Specifically,based on the three types of emotional risks in urban communities,community emotional governance practices can follow the following three paths: structural level,from the emotional governance focusing on institutional space,the emotional route of regulation mechanism,to promote the reconstruction of structural emotion of digital technology governance emotional embedment;At the subject level,we should jointly promote the construction and consolidation of the subjective emotion from the aspects of constructing the positive emotional experience of individual residents,guiding the mentality of community groups,and building the emergency prevention mechanism of emotional risks.At the situational level,it starts with reshaping the community emotional community and community publicity,gathers the sense of community belonging,then improves and strengthens the community security mechanism and introduces the social work model,so as to avoid the emotional risks in the community situation.
