| The material and psychological needs of high school students for the learning environment are increasing, which provides a challenge for the creation of chemical laboratory environment. In order to explore how the chemical laboratory environment affects students’ chemical emotional attitude by affecting their chemical cognitive attitude, this study divides the chemical laboratory environment perception into five dimensions: student cohesiveness,integration,open-endedness,rule clarity and material environment.Chemical cognitive attitude is divided into two dimensions: value cognition and scientific inquiry;chemical emotional attitude is divided into two dimensions: curriculum interest and career tendency.Based on the “Science Laboratory Environment Inventory” and “Test of Science-Related Attitudes”,the “Chemical Laboratory Environment Perception Scale”,“Chemical Cognitive Attitude Scale” and “Chemical Emotional Attitude Scale” were constructed.By using the methods of literature research, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and interview research, this paper analyzes the current situation of high school students’ perception of chemical laboratory environment and their attitude towards chemistry. The structural equation model is used to explore the relationship between chemical laboratory environment perception, chemical cognitive attitude and chemical emotional attitude, and to analyze the potential reasons. The study draws the following conclusions.(1)The overall level of students’ perception of chemical laboratory environment is high and there are significant differences in grade and examination.Students scored the highest on rule clarity and the lowest on open-endedness.The students in grade 2 of senior high school have better perception of all dimensions of chemical laboratory environment than those in grade 3 of junior high school.High school students who choose chemistry are better than those who do not choose chemistry in their perception of all dimensions of the chemical laboratory environment.(2)The overall performance of students’ attitude towards chemistry is good and there are significant differences in grade and examination.Students scored the highest in value cognition and the lowest in career tendency. The students in grade 2 of senior high school performed better than those in grade 3 of junior high school in all dimensions of chemistry attitude. The high school students who choose chemistry are better in curriculum interest and career tendency than those who do not choose chemistry.(3)Chemical cognitive attitude plays a mediating role between chemical laboratory environment perception and chemical emotional attitude. The structural equation model shows 10 significant paths.(1)Student cohesiveness affects curriculum interest through value cognition;(2)Integration directly affects the curriculum interest;(3)Open-endedness directly affects career tendency;(4)Rule clarity affects curriculum interest through value cognition;Rule clarity affects curriculum interest and career tendency through scientific inquiry;(5)Material environment directly affects the curriculum interest;material environment affects curriculum interest through value cognition;material environment affects curriculum interest and career tendency through scientific inquiry. This study provides research ideas and paradigms for constructing a good chemical laboratory environment, constructing an evaluation framework for chemical discipline attitudes, and using structural equation model to construct the path relationship between chemical laboratory environment perception and chemical discipline attitudes. |
