The CBA league is the highest-level professional league in my country,and has attracted the attention of the majority of basketball practitioners and basketball enthusiasts.The protagonists of the CBA arena are athletes and coaches,and their presentation of a wonderful game is the most important.At the same time,the role of referees as court judges cannot be ignored.They are responsible for maintaining the order of the court and ensuring the smooth progress of the game.The referee’s decision in the game will affect the performance of athletes and coaches to a certain extent,and indirectly affect the direction of the game.In the CBA playoffs,each team must go all out to win the championship.At this time,the intensity of confrontation between athletes and the degree of pressure that athletes and coaches put on referees are not the same as those in the regular season.,under this kind of pressure,every penalty is particularly important,and a controversial penalty will naturally bring the referee to the forefront.Therefore,researching the judgments and penalties of referees in the CBA League playoffs can not only help referees grasp the characteristics of violations and fouls in the playoffs,and deepen their understanding of the scale of judgments and games;it can also encourage athletes and coaches to pass The referee’s penalty situation can grasp the scale of the penalty,better understand the basketball rules,regulate their own behavior on the field,so as to improve the performance on the field;it even has a certain positive guiding significance for the brand image and long-term development of the CBA league.Using research methods such as literature review,video analysis,mathematical statistics,expert interviews,and logical analysis,this article takes the referees’ decisions in each game of the CBA playoffs in the 2021-2022 season as the research object,and studies the characteristics of referees’ violations and foul decisions in that season,the differences in controversial decision rates under different factors,and the influencing factors of controversial decisions.The following conclusions are drawn:1.In the CBA playoffs of the 2021-2022 season,the average number of referees’ judgments per game was relatively high,reaching 71.37,indicating that CBA athletes’ behavior on the field was not standardized and the ability of referees to manage the game needed to be strengthened.The overall judgment accuracy rate is 96.89%,indicating that the referee’s judgment is still relatively accurate and can ensure the fairness and impartiality of the game.In all cases of punishment,there are significant types,areas,and player characteristics of violation judgments: Out of bounds is the most common violation judgment;Penalties for violations are more likely to occur in areas 4,5,and 6;Insider players are more likely to be penalized for violations.General foul decisions also have significant types,areas,and player characteristics:fouls and blocking of hand movements are the most common general foul decisions;In Zone 5,it is more likely to incur general foul decisions;Insider players are more likely to be penalized for general fouls.2.In the CBA playoffs of the 2021-2022 season,the referee’s controversial decision rate reached 36.90%,and the overall controversial decision accuracy rate was 91.56%,indicating that the ability of the referee to manage the game needs to be strengthened.Based on the analysis of variance of the referee dispute decision ratio,it is concluded that there is no significant difference in the referee dispute decision ratio between different rounds and different decision accuracy rates during the playoffs;There are significant differences in the referee’s controversial decision ratio between teams at different levels and different positions of referees.3.In the CBA playoffs of the 2021-2022 season,there will be disputes over the wrong and correct decisions made by referees.First,the referee’s on-site performance level and the unreasonable setting of the venue video playback equipment can affect the referee’s controversial decision of making a wrong decision.Secondly,the inconsistency of the referee’s judgment criteria on the spot,the nonstandard behavior of athletes and coaches on the field,and the deviation of their understanding of the rules,as well as the poor ability of the referee to manage the game,can affect the referee’s ability to make correct and controversial decisions.
