Since the reform and opening up,China’s society has experienced rapid social transformation,economic transformation,the promotion of urbanization,and the reform of the education mechanism and other social changes,leading to a large number of rural labor force flowing into the city.However,due to policy factors,education mechanisms,economic costs,registered residence system restrictions and other objective factors,a special group left behind children has emerged."Migrant workers’ migrant work has created certain material conditions and foundation for the education and growth of their children,but it has also led to long-term separation of some children from their parents,lack of affection and effective supervision,mental health problems and even extreme behaviors,and accidental injuries and illegal violations.These problems have a serious impact on children’s mental health growth and social stability.It is an important and urgent task to further strengthen the care and protection of left-behind children in rural areas and create a better environment for their mental health growth.".Therefore,it is very important and meaningful to intervene and guide the mental health problems of left-behind children in rural areas.On the basis of combing and summarizing the relevant literature on the mental health problems of left-behind children in rural areas,this paper went to D Primary School to carry out a half-year internship work,taking left-behind children in D Primary School as the research object,and understood the mental health status of left-behind children in D Primary School through questionnaires,one-on-one interviews,group activities,instant counseling and other ways.The questionnaire results showed that left-behind children were learning anxiety,loneliness tendency Three aspects of anxiety are relatively serious.Based on the ecosystem theory and the case social work method,this paper carried out case service for the left-behind child J in D primary school,and intervened in the personal system,family system and school system of the case owner J.The intervention during the period is divided into five stages,namely: establishing professional relationship stage,obtaining emotional support stage,recovering social ability stage,improving learning interest stage,and summarizing and reviewing stage.After the intervention,the mental health of the case owner was measured again and the family,teachers and classmates of the case owner reported that the mental health of the case owner was greatly improved.This study believes that the intervention of social work in the study of mental health problems of left-behind children in rural areas is effective,which can help them recover their self-cognition and self-confidence,enhance their interpersonal skills and enhance their interest in learning,thus alleviating their mental health problems.
