| After the liberalization of the three-child policy,the construction of infant and child care service system has become an important guarantee to improve people’s livelihood and well-being,implement the birth support policy,and childcare institutions have sprung up in various places,and parents’ childcare service demand is the indicator for the development of childcare services,so this study starts from the perspective of parents’ needs,understands the specific needs and preferences of parents for childcare services and analyzes the differences,and finally makes suggestions,so as to help the providers of childcare services provide targeted childcare support for parents.This study mainly uses the questionnaire survey method and interview method as a supplement,compiles the questionnaire on the basis of the existing research results and policy norms,and conducts a formal survey of 276 parents of infants and toddlers aged 0-6 years after reliability and validity testing,and collates and analyzes the collected data and materials,and the results show that:(1)the overall demand of parents for childcare services for infants aged 0-3 years is relatively high.The average value was 4.237 points,and the average score of each dimension was also greater than4 points,which was between comparative need and extraordinary need,and the demand for each dimension was safety and care(M=4.341),> childcare cooperation(M=4.303)> environment and education(M=4.202)> Individual needs(M=4.033);(2)In terms of childcare time,more than 56% of parents will choose to send childcare after the age of 2,but there are also childcare needs between 0-6,6-12,12-18,18-24months;In terms of childcare options,more than 64% of parents choose full-day care,but there is also demand for half-day care,timed care and flexible care.In the choice of childcare institutions,parents tend to choose integrated childcare institutions,followed by independent childcare institutions,but there is also demand for community-based childcare institutions and home-based childcare institutions.In terms of the choice of childcare costs,more than 85% of parents chose less than 3,000 yuan per month,and the number of parents who chose more than 3,000 yuan decreased with the increase of childcare costs;In terms of willingness to have children,more than 53% of parents believe that if the childcare service system is very perfect,it will promote the family’s willingness to have more children;(3)There were differences in parental identity,age,education,occupation,total family income,and age and gender of infants and young children in the overall demand for childcare services,the needs of various dimensions,and the preference for childcare service selection,while there were no differences in the type of family and the number of children in the demand and choice of childcare services.Based on the above results,this study makes recommendations from the following five aspects:(1)the government: implement fertility support policies and improve the childcare service system;(2)Society: develop inclusive childcare and reduce the cost of parenting;(3)Colleges and universities: cultivate professional childcare teachers and improve the quality of childcare teachers;(4)Childcare institutions: provide diversified services to meet individual needs;(5)Parents:Actively participate in the growth of infants and young children,and jointly promote the all-round development of infants and young children. |
