Secondary school examinations occupy a very important position in the evaluation of education.Under the impetus of the basic education curriculum reform,the academic level examination system has been implemented in the middle school examination,and the gradual change has realized the "two examinations in one".With the promulgation of the "Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standards(2022Edition)",the core literacy-oriented questions will be designed for the junior high school academic level examinations.Based on the new curriculum standards,the study of junior high school biology academic level test questions can better promote teaching and assessment by examinations.In this study,the Xining paper,Qinghai paper,Beijing paper and Chengdu paper of 2019-2022 were used to study the structure of the test paper,the content of the test paper,the core literacy of biology tested and its level,using comparative analysis and statistical analysis.The conclusions are as follows.1.Paper structure: The question types are similar,both multiple-choice and non-selective,and the non-selective questions mainly include graphical analysis questions,material analysis questions,experimental investigation questions,genetic questions,etc.The number of graphical analysis questions and their scores are high.However,there are differences in the total number of questions,the proportion of marks for different types of questions,and the total score of the paper.As far as the trend of development is concerned,the question types and the number of questions in the paper may remain the same in each region with the same total score.2.Content distribution: Most of the questions comprehensively covered the seven learning themes in the new curriculum,but the proportion of the examination of different learning themes was different.The least proportion is the structural level of living organisms(about 5%);the learning theme that accounts for the most in different regions varies,with Xining,Qinghai and Beijing papers being human physiology and health(20.8%-38.7%)and Chengdu paper being genetics and evolution(28.9%),reflecting that one of the ways to change the content of the curriculum in the new 2022 edition is to reorganize and integrate the content based on the 2011 edition of the curriculum.This reflects that one of the ways of curriculum content change in the new 2022 edition is to reorganize and integrate the content based on the 2011 edition.3.Core literacy and level distribution: the trend of examining different dimensions of core literacy is the same in all regions,and the importance is life concept>scientific thinking>inquiry practice>attitude responsibility,which can reflect the development of students’ core literacy in biology,life concept is the "cornerstone",scientific thinking and scientific inquiry is the "way",and attitude is the "way".The core literacy of students in biology is the "cornerstone",scientific thinking and scientific inquiry are the "methods and approaches",and attitude and responsibility are the "high-rise buildings".The trend of examining different levels of core literacy is different,Xining,Qinghai and Chengdu papers are the most biased to examine level1,accounting for more than 51%,while Beijing paper is the most biased to examine level 2,accounting for 54.7%,and the examination of level 3 is low,accounting for7.3% to 12.2%,which shows that the current level of students’ core literacy in biology is low in general,and the new standard requires cultivating and developing core literacy in biology is It is very necessary.Based on the findings of the study,the following suggestions are made for the formulation of junior high school biology academic level test questions: the content of the test and core literacy and its level should be comprehensive and focused;the distribution of the weight of the test should be stable and changeable,but the change should not be too great;the test of attitude and responsibility literacy should be increased appropriately.Suggestions for junior high school biology teaching include: study the new 2022 edition of the standards to grasp the direction;study the teaching materials and implement the cultivation of core literacy in the classroom;focus on linking theory and practice to develop students’ ability to solve practical problems;realize effective teaching under the new standards and the status quo of the old teaching materials.
