The involvement of rural social work in migrant community governance is an objective requirement to effectively link poverty alleviation to rural revitalization and promote agricultural and rural modernization. It is an inevitable choice to remedy market failure and government failure. It is an inherent requirement to strengthen and improve social governance and an important embodiment of the superiority of the socialist system. This paper takes the materials of empirical investigation as cases, analyzes the effective attempts, role interpretation and blocking factors of rural social work intervention in migrant community governance from four aspects of typical cases,multi-dimensional embedding, situational de-embedding and empowerment, and then discusses the breakthrough path of intervention. It is found that the policy support, theoretical basis and practical experience relied on by social work organizations, which are humanistic care providers, resource porters, relationship lubricants, information disseminators and capacity nurturers, are the passwords for their effective intervention in immigrant community governance. However,in the intervention process,a series of problems, such as insufficient top-level policy supply, low level of coordination and cooperation, insufficient degree of identity and weak strength of social work, need to be broken through and solved in the follow-up intervention of rural social work in migrant community governance and the effective connection between consolidating and expanding poverty alleviation achievements and rural revitalization.
