The newly revised Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022)focus on the fundamental task of cultivating morality and educating people,strengthen the orientation of Chinese curriculum and focus on the cultivation of students’ correct values.At the same time,modern and contemporary classics contain rich education content of "feelings of home and country",and the introduction to classics is an important content of Chinese teaching in junior middle school.Students in junior high school are in a critical period of value development.They will think about the relationship between the individual and the family and the country.In recent years,the epidemic has aroused the public’s attention to the mental health development of young people,and further highlighted the importance of curriculum education.Chinese curriculum is both instrumental and humanistic,which is the main front of cultivating students’ core quality and practicing values education.The education of "feelings of home and country" can play a huge role in students’ values education.Therefore,based on the cultivation of "feelings of home and country",this paper focuses on the ideological significance and educational significance of modern and contemporary classics from the level of values,expands the teaching path of modern and contemporary classics guidance in junior middle school,guides teachers to dig deep into the connotation of classics guidance and brings into play the educating role of classics guidance teaching.First of all,based on the cultivation of "feelings of home and country",this paper adopts the method of questionnaire survey and interview to investigate and analyze the current status of reading instruction of middle school classics,and finds that there are some problems in the teaching of reading guidance of famous books,such as teachers paying less attention to the educational significance of famous books,the teaching process is too formalized,the emotional needs of students are ignored,and the educational content of "feelings of home and country" in famous books.In view of this situation,this paper is based on the latest version of the Chinese curriculum standard,the guidance theory on the inheritance of Chinese excellent traditional culture in the new era and the theory of adolescent psychological development,and puts forward the teaching principles of attaching importance to the content of classics,attaching importance to students’ perception and adhering to moral cultivation.Secondly,it will offer the content support for the instruction of the modern and contemporary classics,which is based on the cultivation of "feelings of home and country",this paper analyzes the teaching content of "feelings of home and country" for the modern and contemporary classics mainly promoted in the unified edition of junior high school Chinese textbooks.Thirdly,in order to make the teaching targeted,the paper tries to put forward specific teaching countermeasures from various aspects,such as digging the connotation of famous books,selecting reading materials,designing tasks cleverly,paying attention to perception and communication and family edification.Finally,in order to further explain the teaching countermeasures of modern and contemporary famous guidance based on the cultivation of "feelings of home and country",this paper designs specific teaching cases in combination with the main work of "Chaohuaxishi",Unit 3 of the first volume of the seventh grade of junior high school Chinese edition,in order to provide reference for the teaching practice of modern and contemporary famous guidance.
