the Curriculum Standards for~A Ph~by~ssi~tca~rl ~aEd~cu~tcation and Health in Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)clearly put forward the core quality of physical education and health that students should have,which marks the curtain of the era of core quality on the stage of basic education in China.Physical education teachers are an important main force to improve students’core quality of physical education and health.In order to improve students’core quality of physical education and health,it is the only way to develop the core quality of physical education teachers,and it is also an important part and an important way to promote teacher education reform.The investigation of the current situation of the core literacy level of primary and secondary school physical education teachers from the perspectives of characteristics and differences can provide relevant basis for proposing strategies to promote the core literacy level of primary and secondary school physical education teachers.Taking Qingdao,Shandong Province,as an example,this study adopts the"Physical Education Teacher’s Core Literacy Development Scale"to conduct a survey and statistical analysis of the current situation of the three aspects and eight dimensions of the core literacy of primary and secondary physical education teachers in Qingdao from the perspective of overall characteristics and differences,and interviews and case studies one representative of excellent physical education teachers with high level of core literacy of physical education teachers.The results show that:1.The average score of each dimension of the core quality of primary and secondary school PE teachers in Qingdao is relatively high,but the level of different dimensions is different,mainly reflected in the highest score of the sports morality dimension,and the lowest score of the sports teaching research and reflective ability dimension.2.Physical education teachers’core literacy level values have significant differences in identity,political outlook,marital status,and monthly income variables.Among them,the dimensions of teacher-student outlook have significant differences in political outlook,marital status,and monthly income variables,and the system outlook has significant differences in identity variables.3.There are significant differences in the variables of identity,political outlook and education background in the essential character of the core quality level of physical education teachers.Among them,there are significant differences in the variables of political outlook in physical education morality,and significant differences in the variables of identity and education background and scientific spirit in physical education.4.There are significant differences in gender,age,marital status,education background,teaching age,professional title,monthly income,and teaching location in terms of key competencies of PE teachers’core literacy level.Among them,there are significant differences in the dimensions of PE curriculum comprehension ability in the variables of education background,professional title,and monthly income.There are significant differences in the dimensions of PE teaching implementation ability in the variables of marital status,professional title,and monthly income,The dimensions of extracurricular sports executive ability have significant differences in gender,age,teaching age,monthly income,and teaching location variables5.It is necessary to analyze the differences based on data and formulate corresponding policies in combination with actual conditions to promote the improvement of core literacy of sports teachers with lower scores on different variables.For example,through party spirit education or expanding the audience group of party classes,promote the promotion of values and essential qualities,pay attention to the living conditions of unmarried and low-income physical education teachers,promote the promotion of values,give play to the mentoring and leading role of older teachers,optimize the training system aimed at improving the core literacy of physical education teachers,improve the evaluation guidance of teacher titles,promote the promotion of key abilities,and so on.6.The case analysis shows that the formation of PE teachers’core literacy level,values,essential character and key abilities is a gradual and imperceptible process,and is often boosted by the influence of some key events.These abilities are affected by personal innate character,acquired education level,personal education feelings,internal drive of self-development and external environmental policies and institutional factors.The method of developing PE teachers’core literacy in the new era should focus on stimulating the internal drive of PE teachers’self-development and creating a supportive environment for PE teachers to develop their core literacy.
