| Population aging is an important trend of world population development. From the data of the census,we can see that the degree of population aging in China is further deepened, and how to deal with the aging of the population is an important social problem in our country. With the continuous advancement of new industrialization and urbanization,a large number of young and middle-aged laborers have poured into cities, and the phenomenon of "empty nests" has become more common in rural areas. The economic development in rural areas is relatively lagging behind, and the social pension security system is not well developed, resulting in insufficient social pension services in rural areas.Especially in remote rural areas,it is more difficult to obtain various attention, help and support from individuals and organizations outside the community.Taking Y Village in Sichuan Province as an example, this paper investigates and analyzes the current situation and pension situation of rural empty nesters in the village, and evaluates the rural empty nester’s needs from the perspectives of living and physical health, economic income, daily care, spiritual fire, and social support. It is found that the rural empty nester in Y village mainly suffers from low and single economic income, lack of life care, lack of spiritual life, and imperfect social support system. The current situation and difficulties provide the possibility for the development of mutual pension for the rural empty nester. On the basis of the feasibility assessment of social work intervention for the rural empty nester in Y village, the study is supported by social support theory and the perspective of advantages, and aims at mutual aid for the elderly. Then it designed and carried out case-by-case social work intervention and group work programs. On the one hand,it helps the empty nesters participating in the activity to deepen their knowledge and understanding of social work, and on the other hand,it helps the elderly to improve their mutual aid awareness, exert their inherent advantages and potential, and enhance their sense of self-efficacy and gain in the experience of mutual aid activities. In this way,it will help the establishment and sustainable development of mutual aid groups for the elderly, build a mutual aid network for rural empty nesters, and finally achieve the goal of improving the quality of life of rural empty nesters. The social work intervention service practice carried out in Y village has achieved certain results.Mutual pension may be an effective model for the rural empty nester. However,in the process of carrying out social work, the author also has reflections, such as the design of activity scheme should be in line with the growth goal of the group and adjusted flexibly according to the actual situation, the inherent problems of providing for the elderly with empty nesters are difficult to solve, the cultural concept of carrying out social work in rural areas needs to be continuously improved and it has the necessity of strengthening the practical capacity-building of social work team, etc. Therefore, the author makes some thoughts and suggestions on the research of social work involved in the mutual pension of rural empty nesters. The author believes that there is a lot of room for the development of rural mutual pension and has wide applicability. However, when choosing the appropriate social work to intervene in the research on the mutual aid of the rural empty nester,we need to choose the best and adapt the measures to the individual and local conditions. The author suggests that when social work is involved in the mutual aid of the rural empty nester,it is necessary to link multiple resources, give full play to the supportive and leading role of the government, increase the attention and support for the rural empty nester, and establish a complete social support network;and vigorously cultivate localized, professional, and professional social work teams to serve the rural empty-nest elderly in an all-round way;enrich and improve the mutual assistance and elderly care services for the empty nester in rural areas. It is hoped that through continuous practice of mutual pension for the rural empty nester,it will continue to improve and develop into an effective pension model. |
