In 2020,the "Chinese Curriculum Standards for Secondary Vocational Schools" was promulgated,and "whole book reading and discussion" officially entered the Chinese language industry in secondary vocational schools.On the one hand,vocational education has entered a period of transformation and development,and the implementation of whole book reading teaching is urgently needed in vocational Chinese teaching;On the other hand,due to various reasons,the teaching of whole book reading in vocational schools is struggling.Therefore,this study is based on the current situation of whole book reading teaching in vocational schools,exploring specific and feasible teaching strategies,and conducting teaching practice.We believe that promoting the teaching of whole book reading in accordance with the requirements of the curriculum standards,in line with students’ cognitive patterns and psychological expectations,can help vocational school students gain broad development space.On the basis of extensive data collection and solid investigation and research,this paper discusses from four levels:Chapter 1 defines the relevant concepts of reading teaching in vocational Chinese as a whole book.This paper expounds the connotation of the whole book reading,the whole book reading teaching and the whole book reading teaching of Chinese in secondary vocational schools,explores the value of the whole book reading teaching of Chinese in secondary vocational schools in terms of curriculum standards,Chinese teaching,and student growth,and clarifies its teaching principles in terms of target orientation,teaching implementation,and reading media.Chapter 2: Investigate the current situation of teaching Chinese whole book reading in vocational schools.Firstly,Through questionnaire survey and interview methods,it was found that vocational school students have many problems in reading interests,content,habits,methods,and other aspects.Vocational school teachers also have problems in teaching not solidly and implementing curriculum standards not in place.Then analyze the reasons behind the problem from different levels such as school,teachers,and students.Chapter 3 explores specific and feasible strategies from four aspects:teaching preparation,reading methods,teaching implementation,and teaching evaluation.Firstly,supplement the materials,familiarize the text,and conceptualize the teaching process;Then actively help students master reading methods such as auxiliary text reading,circle commenting,comparative reading,and data assistance reading;Then cleverly conceptualize,publish reading tasks,encourage sorting and exploration,and design fun activities;Finally,carry out a teaching evaluation with diverse subjects,flexible methods,and specific standards.Chapter 4,based on existing exploration results,guides the teaching practice of whole book reading in vocational Chinese.We conducted two rounds of teaching practice: online reading and spot reading.Continuously discovering and solving problems,continuously improving and enriching strategies in two rounds of practice,in order to further guide practice.
