With "whole book reading and discussion" was included in the Chinese curriculum standards for ordinary high schools(2017 edition)as a group of learning task,more and more people have realized the importance of " whole book reading,which is of great significance to improves students' reading ability,expands the horizon of life as well as enhances the Chinese core quality.Novel teaching is an important part of reading teaching,for a long time,the texts of novel teaching are mostly excerpts from full-length novels,the novel reading is separated from the whole books,which result in students' little interest in reading,they lacking of profound understanding and analysis of the novel's contents,themes and artistic styles,etc.The reading teaching of full-length novels is helpful for students to deeply understand the connotation of novels,enrich their reading experience and improve their aesthetic taste,based on this,the author sets the research object of this paper as "the teaching of full-length novels in the whole book reading" to explores the teaching strategies of entire full-length novel reading.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part gives a brief overview of the whole book reading and novel teaching in high school Chinese,including the definition of related concepts,the value of reading the whole book,the value of novel teaching and the value of the whole book reading teaching.The second part discusses the related concepts,theoretical basis and teaching value of novel teaching,illustrates the teaching value of the whole book reading by virtue of combining with the interpretation of the whole book reading in the new curriculum standard.The third part summarizes the problems in the teaching of full-length novels in whole book reading of high school through the analysis of the questionnaire results,these problems involving in schools,teachers,students and parents do not pay enough attention to "full-length novel reading",the teachers still carrying out the teaching method of the explanation-oriented in the process of teaching the whole full-length novel reading as well as lack in teaching evaluation system of the whole novel reading,and so on.This study analyzes the causes of the above problems.The fourth part is mainly oriented at the problems in the reading teaching of whole full-length novels.The author puts forward strategies from three aspects: preparation and planning,reading and discussion,evaluation and suggestions of the whole novel book reading,hope provides a reference to implementation of teaching in whole novel reading.
