In recent years,under the promotion of relevant national policies,the development of research travel in China has progressively attracted wide concern from all fields.The geography practicality cultivation requirements in the General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 edition)and the characteristics of the research travel lessons are similar and complementary,so geography research travel can be an effective way to cultivate students’ geography practicality,and at the same time geography practicality can provide a guiding basis for the design of practical activities in research travel.This paper is to design a geography research travel program with the goal of cultivating high school students’ geography practice,and to use Panzhou City,Guizhou Province as the research area,using the theoretical bases of multiple intelligences and life education,using literature research method,survey research method,fieldwork method,and induction method to conduct research,combining the rich natural and human resources in Panzhou City,Guizhou Province,sorting out the typical characteristics of local research resources,and selecting two geography research resource points of nature and humanities as case designs,in order to enrich the local research travel course cases and provide reference ideas for the design and development of future research travel in Panzhou City.Through the study,the following main conclusions were obtained:firstly,the concepts of research travel and geographic practicability were clarified,and the specific behavioral performance and ideological quality performance of geographic practicability level division were illustrated,as well as the specific action ability and quality of will to develop geographic practicability of high school students through research travel.Second,the survey on the development of geography practical power and research travel in Panzhou city high school found that front-line geography teachers attach great importance to the development of geography practical power,and teachers and students in Panzhou city have a positive and active attitude toward the development of geography practical power by means of geography research travel,but due to the influence of the epidemic,the lack of norms and guarantees of various research mechanisms,the lack of clear reference of research themes in the region,and the late development of research institutions,research travel in Panzhou city is still in the preliminary development stage.Third,through research and analysis,we summarized the principles and procedural components of research travel design,as well as the role and importance of teachers’ research organization ability and students’ subjectivity in research,and designed the research evaluation mechanism based on the cultivation of geographic practice power,explained the content,perspective and basis of evaluation,and selected the multi-subject evaluation method and two kinds of qualitative and quantitative scale evaluation methods for students.Fourth,integrating the geography research resources in Panzhou City,ten locations suitable for geography research travel were selected and combed against the textbook contents of the General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition),the compulsory one and two and selective compulsory one,two and three of high school geography,from which the natural resources-based scenic spot of Nyangniang Mountain Wetland Park and the human resources-based industrial industry-Mayi Coal Industry Ltd.as study case design and study tour implementation,the results show that students can actively participate in study tour activities and effectively achieve study goals,but the completion of study practice activities is not high,the geography practice ability is weak and needs to be cultivated and improved.
