The unique artistic charm and rich educational value of poetry play an irreplaceable role in Chinese teaching.The application of new criticism theory can fully understand the poetry contained in poetry and improve the core quality of students’ Chinese.The new criticism emphasizes the text as the center,digging deep into the language expression skills such as metaphor,paradox and tension hidden in the language,structure and form of poetry,digging deep into the multi-side implication hidden in the text.Through this method of criticism,the rich meaning of poetry is analyzed deeply,and the teaching strategy of high school poetry under the new critical vision is put forward to give full play to the educational value of poetry literary works.First of all,the study object is the edition of high school Chinese textbooks.This paper analyzes the specific situation of teachers and students’ teaching and learning in poetry teaching with the method of questionnaire survey.Secondly,the method of close reading of the new criticism text is used to analyze the selected poems in the textbook and analyze the meaning of the texts from multiple levels and perspectives.Thirdly,it explains the significance of introducing new criticism into high school poetry teaching.Finally,based on the investigation of the current situation of high school poetry teaching and the significance of introducing the new criticism theory into poetry teaching,this paper puts forward the strategy of high school poetry teaching from the perspective of new criticism.The thesis consists of five parts.The first part,the introduction mainly introduces the origin of the research of this paper,high school poetry teaching research status review,comb out the shortcomings of high school poetry teaching.In addition,the research object,method and main point of view of the thesis are also expounded.The second part analyzes the current situation of poetry teaching and the attribution of existing problems.Firstly,it explains the design idea of questionnaire survey.Secondly,the present situation of high school poetry teaching is investigated.Finally,the paper sums up the problems and reasons of high school poetry teaching.The third part analyzes the significance of introducing new criticism theory into high school poetry teaching.First,it provides the theory and method of the close reading of the text of poetry literary works.Second,promote the innovation of high school poetry teaching content,improve the core quality of Chinese;Third,improve the quality of teaching evaluation.The fourth part discusses the teaching strategies of high school poetry from the perspective of new criticism theory.First,deepen the content of lesson preparation and realize in-depth reading.Second,strengthen teaching guidance,improve the quality of thinking.Analyze the logical paradox of poetry,figure out the complex meaning of language,grasp the organic whole of text,improve the students’ inner quality.Thirdly,clarify the evaluation elements and optimize the teaching quality.The fifth part discusses the educational value of high school poetry teaching from the perspective of new criticism,the shortcomings of this research and the prospect of future research.
