Since September 2017,the Ministry of Education has officially put into use the compulsory education language textbook(hereinafter referred to as the unified version),correcting the shortcomings of the previous primary school language textbook compilation,overall planning,close to the reality of students’ life,and has won high attention and favor from domestic scholars and front-line educators for its unique design concept,arrangement characteristics,illustrations and pictures.Since the publication of the unified version,corresponding corrections and additions have been made every year,and the content of the revision is mainly to delete and change the illustrations and some words in the textbook.As an innovative unit of the unified version,the educational ideas and design concepts contained in the Workbook reflect the editor’s unique perspective on the difficult point of "Assignment".The main line of homework in the homework unit is clear and prominent,running throughout,and the sections are closely connected and the goal is the same,aiming to help primary school students complete their homework through reading,communication,pen practice and other related learning,and meet the homework requirements of this section.Through the review of relevant literature and books,it is found that due to the "new" characteristics of the exercise unit,domestic scholars and front-line educators are in the exploratory stage of this part,and have not yet formed a complete teaching system,and there are still shortcomings in the teaching implementation of the old practice unit.In this study,questionnaire survey,interview and classroom observation methods were adopted to enter the primary school Chinese class and investigate the pupils and teachers in the second section of x Primary School in Yuanzhou District,Guyuan City to clarify the teaching status of exercise units in the second section.The survey found that there were still four problems in the teaching of the work unit: teachers’ cognitive bias in the compilation of the relevant teaching materials of the work unit,lack of content integration and goal setting in the teaching orientation of the work unit,single teaching process of the work unit,and teachers’ failure to reflect and correct erroneous concepts in a timely manner.On this basis,the deep-seated reasons are mainly excavated,including four aspects: the new and difficult teaching of the homework unit,the challenges of combining the new curriculum standard and the new homework unit,the inertia of teachers’ thinking and ability affecting the quality of teaching,and the difficulties faced by primary school students in writing.The author analyzes the above problems and proposes relevant improvement strategies: coordinate resources and establish a cognitive system for work units;Precise positioning,driving the orderly progress of homework tasks;Enrichment process to highlight the role of exemplary work units;Focus on reflection and promote the two-way improvement of teaching and learning.It is hoped that this study can provide some reference for frontline primary school Chinese teachers in teaching homework units.
