Exploring The Optimization Design Of Junior High School Chemistry Homework In The Context Of "Double Reduction"

The state promulgated the "double reduction" policy,one of the targeted focuses on reducing the burden of homework for primary and secondary school students,and clearly proposed that homework should be reduced in volume and time to provide space for students to grow.However,the simple approach of reducing the amount of homework and controlling the duration of homework may lead to a significant reduction in the learning effect of students,but also increase the psychological burden of students,parents and teachers.At the same time,the survey found that the current chemistry homework itself has many problems that are not conducive to students’ development,such as difficult,biased,complicated,old,and alienated functions,and the overall quality of homework is not satisfactory.Therefore,in order to implement the national "double reduction" policy and promote the reduction of the burden of junior high school chemistry homework,it is necessary to improve the quality of junior high school chemistry homework,so the study of the optimal design of junior high school chemistry homework is urgent.In this paper,based on the implementation of the "double reduction" policy and the need to adapt to the reform of chemistry homework in middle school,we first combed through the literature on homework studies at home and abroad and found that there is a lack of design research and systematization in the study of middle school chemistry homework,and then clarified the research content with the optimization design of middle school chemistry homework as the main line and the research methods and ideas with questionnaires,interviews and case studies.Then the two core concepts of load reduction and efficiency enhancement and homework optimization design are described on the basis of literature exploration,and four theoretical claims supporting the optimization design of junior high school chemistry homework are selected and analyzed.At the same time,the actual situation of current junior high school chemistry homework and the design needs of students,teachers and parents for junior high school chemistry homework are understood and explored,and on this basis,four characteristics of junior high school chemistry homework that reduces the burden and increases the efficiency are investigated,seven homework design strategies such as selecting representatives,expanding sources and exhibiting types are proposed,and a complete homework design idea is summarized and formed,which is then reflected in the ninth grade chemistry "Water Purification" and "Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide"(the first grade chemistry homework).The assignment design was then applied to two cases of 9th grade chemistry "Water Purification" and "Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide"(Lesson 1).Finally,the designed homework cases were evaluated and analyzed by experts’ comments,comparison of homework before and after actual assignment,student questionnaires and interviews with teachers and parents,and it was found that the designed chemistry homework with reduced burden and increased efficiency had achieved gains in knowledge consolidation,ability development,interest enhancement and homework reduction.The final summary yielded three conclusions,i.e.,the theoretical framework of reduced and effective chemistry homework is scientific,can help junior high school students achieve load reduction and homework effect improvement,and subsequent reflection on the shortcomings and outlook in both homework design and load reduction issues.Therefore,this study concludes that the exploration of reduced and more effective chemistry homework in the context of "double reduction" can promote the implementation of the "double reduction" policy in junior high school chemistry and provide front-line teachers with research ideas for homework design.
