| Using project-based learning as an entry point,this paper aims to address the question of how to apply project-based learning to a junior high school class on Ethics and the Rule of Law.Firstly,by analysing the theoretical basis of project-based learning,this study defines project-based learning as a form of educational practice,which can be used as a curriculum form and as a teaching form,and summarises its characteristics to clarify the essence of project-based learning.Secondly,based on the standards of the junior high school morality and rule of law curriculum and the physical and mental development rules of junior high school students,it is determined that it is feasible to apply project-based learning in junior high school morality and rule of law classes,which has the value of stimulating students’ motivation to learn,promoting students’ all-round development,deepening students’ understanding of society and building up the subject’s emotional identity,and explains why project-based learning can be applied in junior high school morality and rule of law classes.Once again,the principles of avoiding the existing problems in the application of project-based learning in junior high school Morality and the Rule of Law classes are proposed,and it is concluded that the application of project-based learning as a form of curriculum in junior high school Morality and the Rule of Law teaching can be carried out in three directions: combining with labour education,integrating with multiple disciplines,and using community activities as a support;the application of project-based learning as a form of teaching in junior high school Morality and the Rule of Law classes can be The application of project-based learning as a form of teaching in the junior high school classroom can be carried out in the direction of considering the project theme,designing the project and formulating a plan,implementing the project in small groups,and presenting the results for evaluation.At the same time,at the school level,theoretical training,professional guidance for teachers,a teaching and research atmosphere,the formation of lesson planning communities,technical support,and the enrichment of teaching resources can be used to support the application of project-based learning and provide directions on how to apply project-based learning.After that,in order to maximize the teaching function of project-based learning in junior high school Morality and the Rule of Law classes,the limited application of project-based learning in junior high school Morality and the Rule of Law classes is pointed out and the scope is circled.Finally,a case study of the application of project-based learning in a junior high school Morality and the Rule of Law class-the unit "Into the World of the Rule of Law"-is attached to verify the practicability of this study. |
