Study On Mc Laren’s Critical Education ’Returning To Marx’

In particular,’ Notice of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education on the issuance of key points of work in 2022 ’ pointed out that maintaining the security and stability of education system must adhere to the guiding position of Marxism in the field of ideology.This measure further deepens the influence of Marxism in the education sector.Domestic research on Western Marxist educational thoughts has witnessed a revival trend,and foreign critical pedagogy has also witnessed a new trend of“ returning to Marx ”.Peter Mc Laren is the main advocate of this trend.This study discusses the connotation and value of Mc Laren ’s critical education thought ’returning to Marx ’ comprehensively and systematically.Firstly,this paper introduces the generation of Mc Laren ’s critical education thought,and summarizes the formation characteristics of his critical education thought in different periods so far.It is divided into the initial stage of critical sharpness,the period of critical postmodernism,the period of returning to Marxism and the period of indulging in liberation.Secondly,the political and theoretical background of Mc Laren ’s critical education thought ’ return to Marx ’ is deeply analyzed.It is considered that the theoretical trend of Mc Laren ’s ’ returning to Marx ’ is not only affected by the social environment of the leftist movement at that time,but also the inevitable trend of his own critical education thought development.On this basis,from the perspective of theory and practice,this paper expounds Mc Laren’s efforts to return to Marx.It theoretically proposes that socialism should be regarded as the vision of critical pedagogy,and the criticism based on it is meaningful and valuable.And his current society is a capitalist society which is far from the socialist society.In order to realize this vision,he proposes that critical pedagogy needs class analysis as a means of criticizing capitalism;revolution becomes the fundamental method of socialism replacing capitalism;practice is the inevitable choice of the revolutionary road.In practice,it constantly promotes the internationalization of critical pedagogy Marxism with its own strength.Finally,on the basis of comprehensively discussing the influence of Mc Laren ’s critical education thought ’returning to Marx ’,this paper expounds its enlightenment to critical pedagogy and critical education scholars.
