| Under the "double reduction" policy and the 2022 version of the new curriculum standards for junior high school history,how to further optimize history teaching methods and achieve the educational function of history teaching has become a hot topic of discussion in the current education community.Diary historical materials are different from general historical materials and typically have characteristics such as authenticity,vividness,emotion,empathy,and readability.Fully utilizing the characteristics of diary historical materials in teaching is one of the effective ways to optimize teaching methods and achieve educational functions.The use of diary historical materials in junior high school history teaching is not only a requirement of the "double reduction" policy and the 2022 version of the new curriculum standard for junior high school history,but also a trend in historical materials teaching.The teaching of diary historical materials has various theoretical support,can stimulate students’ interest,and is easy to obtain,which also provides feasibility for the teaching of diary historical materials.Aixin Jueluo Puyi is one of the significant figure in modern Chinese history."Puyi Diary" presents the changes in Puyi’s life trajectory from 1914 to 1967,and also deeply reflects the changes in modern Chinese history.In history textbooks,the character Puyi was mentioned twice,and students also had a strong interest in understanding the last emperor-Puyi.Therefore,using "Puyi Diary" as a teaching aid for history teachers can not only meet teaching needs,but also stimulate students’ interest in learning and promote the generation of students’ core historical literacy.However,as a historical diary material,the "Puyi Diary" also has drawbacks such as biased views and distorted historical facts.Therefore,when using diary historical materials for teaching,attention should also be paid to examining authenticity,isolation,and non verification.Taking the "Puyi Diary" as an example,after conducting a survey of the current situation of teaching diary historical materials,it was found that there are problems that cannot be ignored,such as students’ level of interest and teaching methods not matching,students confusing diary historical materials with memoirs,teachers using less diary historical materials,and some teachers exaggerating the subjectivity of diary historical materials.This can be solved by enriching teaching methods,standardizing the use of diary historical materials,integrating resources with diary historical materials,providing relevant teaching cases,and helping teachers and students face up to diary historical materials.Although there are some problems in the current teaching of diary historical materials,based on the value of diary historical materials,the use of diary historical materials teaching plays a significant role in cultivating the students’ historical core literacy such as the concept of time and space,historical evidence,family and country feelings,and is also conducive to further developing students’ historical core literacy and achieving the goal of historical education. |
