In recent years, juvenile crime has becoming a hot topic in society.Due to weak legal awareness and incomplete physical and mental maturity, minors are easily affected by external factors such as bad peer groups, family environment and bad social atmosphere.Taking into account the future development of minors, the relevant departments have set a conditional non-prosecution investigation period, adhere to the principle of "education first, punishment as a supplement" for minor offenders who have a strong desire to reform, and take appropriate supervision and investigation measures to correct the work.Social work provides accurate and scientific help and education to minors involved in crime through the use of professional values and working methods.Based on cognitive behavioral theory and social support theory, this study uses interview method and observation method, combined with existing domestic and foreign research,to discuss in detail the implementation process of social work’s participation in the help and education of minor cases with conditional non-prosecution.After a comprehensive understanding of the client and the social system around the client, the social worker made an in-depth analysis of the client’s current problems, and learned that the client has practical needs such as enhancing legal awareness, cultivating self-cognition,improving parent-child relationship, and enhancing family support, and carried out targeted assistance and education work for half a year.Help and education services are implemented through interactive means such as talks, law popularization education, community volunteer activities, and family sitcom performance,so as to fully explore the existing social support forces, rely on professional knowledge of social work, provide support and encouragement to clients, help them face up to their mistakes, reflect on themselves and actively make changes, and guide them to return to society smoothly.Based on the above research,it is concluded that in the process of helping minors involved in crime to return to society, under the guidance of social support theory and cognitive behavioral theory, social workers not only improve their professional service ability, but also achieve the purpose of correcting minors involved in crime by advocating "help others and help themselves".However,in the process of intervention, there are still some shortcomings, such as insufficient in-depth analysis of the client’s problems,so we should strengthen the study of professional theory, skillfully apply the theory to practice and constantly improve their professional ability. Finally,it puts forward three prospects of perfecting the system of help and education, promoting the standardization of help and education work, and strengthening the specialization of judicial social work,so as to contribute to the vigorous development of judicial social work.
