The issue of work-family conflict has arisen along with the modernization process and has an impact on all aspects of people’s productive lives.Based on the characteristics of the work content of community workers, such as strong administrative color, long working time, flexible working place, serious imbalance of gender ratio and close connection with public emergencies, the researcher of this paper carried out a study on the work-family conflict of community workers.By combining quantitative and qualitative research, researcher will not only study the common problems and influencing factors in the work-family conflict of community workers from the medium level, but also explain the specific causes of the work-family conflict of community workers from the micro level based on actual cases and interview data, and explore the unique experiences of different interviewees. The phenomenon is viewed from the perspective of the interviewees to show the multi-dimensional work-family conflict of community workers. After analyzing the data results,it is found that the overall level of work-family conflict of community workers is high, and there is no significant difference in the degree of work-family conflict between female community workers and male community workers, community workers with spouse and community workers without spouse.Secondly, variables such as marital status, job income, social support, family satisfaction and job satisfaction are significantly correlated with work-family conflict. The researcher also verified that work income and work pressure can be used as antecedent variables of work-family conflict, and work satisfaction and family satisfaction can be used as outcome variables of work-family conflict. Finally, this paper concludes that community workers have a high level of work-family conflict, which is caused by the characteristics of their work, the income they get and the stress they feel. Moreover, such a high level of work-family conflict can cause conflict between work life and family life for community workers. These results reflect the commonality and individuality of the work-family conflict between community workers and other groups.Meanwhile, through the analysis of the interview data, the researcher discussed the unique gender role concept of community workers, the work role of community workers under the stress structure system, the change to the direction of work and family conflict of community workers, the process of emotional exhaustion of community workers, and the "positive spillover" and "negative spillover" of community workers in the field of work.Supplemented by macro background discussion such as the main axis of family relations in China, this paper explains the reasons why the level of work-family conflict between female community workers and male community workers, community workers with spouse and community workers without spouse is not significantly different, and explores the ways that work pressure and work income affect the work-family conflict of community workers. This paper discusses the reasons why social support and other variables are not significantly correlated with the work-family conflict of community workers, finds out the root causes of the high level of work-family conflict leading to low job satisfaction and low family satisfaction of community workers, and seeks strategies to alleviate the work-family conflict of community workers from the three dimensions of individual, work and family. This study is innovative in the selection of research methods, but it still needs to be further improved in the aspects of sampling, variable selection and solution strategy.Next, relevant research on work-family conflict of community workers can explore issues such as gender role concept of community workers and different conflict directions in different periods in the future,so as to further enrich relevant achievements on work-family conflict of community workers.
