With the continuous development of socio-economic and education,after-school sports services have become a key part of school education.In July 2021,the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the Opinions on Further Reducing the Burden of Homework and Off-campus Training for Students in the Compulsory Education Stage(hereinafter referred to as the "double reduction"),and Chengdu,as a very representative city in Sichuan Province,fully implemented the "double reduction" policy and carried out various forms of after-school services,and after-school sports services became its most important stroke.In order to facilitate the further optimization and improvement of after-school sports services,this paper uses literature,questionnaire surveys,interviews,mathematical statistics and other research methods to analyze and interpret the "double reduction" policy,investigate the current situation of the basic guarantee,development form,project setting,venue equipment and teachers of after-school sports services in primary schools in Chengdu since the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,summarize and summarize good experience and references,explore existing problems,and put forward optimization paths and suggestions for solving problems.It provides certain theoretical and practical references for further implementing after-school sports services,improving the quality of after-school sports services,and promoting the further development of school sports.The study concluded the following:(1)The development of after-school sports services in primary schools in Chengdu is generally good,and departments at all levels attach great importance to it,and the teacher support rate,student participation rate and parent satisfaction rate are high.(2)In terms of basic security,security guarantees are in place and funds are sufficient,and the purchase of sports insurance has become the second effective guarantee for participating students.In terms of development form,school-led,training institutions or clubs are the main responsible ways of after-school sports services in primary schools in Chengdu,which are mainly divided into low-level,intermediate and high-level according to students’ interests and school age stages.In terms of program settings,the four sports of football,basketball,table tennis and badminton were well carried out in the four schools surveyed.Students are more inclined to play fun and confrontational ball games,while more boring sports such as athletics,gymnastics and skipping rope are less popular.In terms of venue equipment,the average student area of sports venues is small,some periods are relatively crowded,sports equipment and facilities are slightly insufficient,students’ experience is not good,and parents’ satisfaction is low.(3)The ratio of teachers to men and women is relatively balanced,the overall age tends to be younger,and the educational level is higher;The composition of the teaching staff is mainly in-service teachers in the school,and there are fewer external teachers.(4)Parents’ overall satisfaction with "double reduction" and after-school sports services is relatively high,among which they are more satisfied with the four aspects of development form,content,development time and impact,low satisfaction with the number of development and venue equipment.(5)In the after-school sports services of the surveyed schools,there are not only advantages and experiences such as novel forms of security,broadening the scope of off-campus cooperation,increasing the number of services,and creating school characteristics,but also problems such as space restrictions,insufficient teachers,and unequal resources.In carrying out after-school sports,schools can optimize and improve from the path of building a comprehensive security system,a diversified organizational system,an efficient implementation system,and a multi-dimensional evaluation system.
