At this stage,the introduction of many sports related policies has made a very important contribution to strengthening the value of sports and stabilizing the position of sports.The unique charm of sports has also been shown in all sectors of society.The guiding ideology of"health first"established after the new curriculum reform has pointed out the development direction for the development of school sports.Basketball,as a major sport,plays an important role in the development of competitive sports,school sports or social sports.However,for a long time,there is still a serious shortage of talents in the development of basketball in China.Considering the best age of talent training in this project and the strong appeal of the country to the development of youth sports at this stage,this paper will investigate the current situation of junior high school students’basketball participation,From the perspective of motivation,we should grasp the internal psychological level of students’participation in basketball,analyze the specific reasons and endogenous motivation of junior high school students’participation in basketball at this stage,and put forward feasible suggestions to deal with the dilemma of reserve of basketball talents in China and solve the physical health problems of teenagers in recent years.This paper uses the construction of the motivation scale as a survey tool to clarify the current motivation of junior high school students to participate in it(motivation type)?What specific behaviors(motivational behaviors)do different motivations exhibit?And in what context are different motivations formed(motivation generation)?Explore the development trend of different motivations from the causal relationship of motivation development,and analyze a series of development elements required for the formation of good motivation from this relationship,so as to provide a theoretical basis for promoting students to form positive and good sports participation behavior,develop sports interests and expertise,and based on the specific situation of junior high school students participating in basketball at this stage,On the basis of grasping their psychological motives,we should create a basketball participation environment with students as the main body,and put forward concrete and feasible countermeasures and suggestions for the popularization and development of basketball in young people from the perspective of students as the main body.The survey objects selected in this study are junior high school students who participate in extracurricular basketball sports.The survey was carried out in Tianjin,mainly using scale research,mathematical statistics and other methods,using SPSS to collate and analyze the data,determining the factor dimensions through exploratory factor analysis,using chi square test and Pearson correlation coefficient test to verify the relationship between variables,and analyzing the proportion of related factors through descriptive statistics,Finally,we can clarify the multiple relationships between different motivations and different variables.The basic information obtained and the conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)There are significant differences between different genders and participation motivation.The specific performance is that male students have higher participation motivation,while female students have lower participation motivation;Through the survey on the participation ways of junior high school students,the sample data shows that the proportion of independent participation in basketball is 35.2%,which is the highest proportion of the option,followed by the proportion of out of school training of 26.7%.This phenomenon fully demonstrates the positive development relationship between current sports such as basketball and the sports training market,and at the same time poses a great challenge to the scientific and orderly development of the industry;The reasons for participation also show significant differences among different genders.Among the reasons for participation,the top three choices for boys are to improve skills,strengthen physical fitness,and have leisure and entertainment.In addition to improving skills,the reason for girls to participate in basketball is that academic pressure is the most prominent option.This gender difference in participating in basketball must have a certain impact on participation motivation,behavior and attitude.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between the number of years of participation in basketball and the level of motivation.Participants with a longer number of years of participation tend to show a higher level of motivation.There is a strong correlation between the number of years of participation and internal motivation,while there is only a weak correlation with external internal motivation,which indicates that their skill level is improved with the increase of years of participation This will lead to a good development trend of confidence experience and interest in the project.Therefore,most students who have participated for a long time can show a strong sense of self-efficacy and motivation;There is a significant correlation between participation frequency and motivation level,and they have different performances in different motivation dimensions.There is a strong correlation in internal motivation.The Pearson correlation coefficient between participation interest and participation frequency is 0.791**,but there is a negative correlation between participation frequency and external motivation,and there is a negative correlation between motivation and participation frequency of-0.603**;There is a significant correlation between participation attitude and motivation.Subjects who participate in basketball with a positive attitude show a higher level of motivation,but subjects with lower internal motivation and higher external motivation show a significant negative correlation with participation attitude,which shows that external motivation has no positive significance for the formation of students’good participation attitude;The level of participation satisfaction also has a certain impact on the performance level of students’motivation.Specifically,students with a higher sense of environment and self experience are more willing to participate in it.Students with a higher degree of self experience generally show a stronger level of internal motivation,while participants with a higher degree of external motivation are less ideal in experience;There is also a certain correlation between the number of entries and the motivation level of the participants.According to the statistics,the lowest score group of motivation is all students with no competition experience,while the group with higher motivation level only accounts for 11.8%of the number of the group without competition experience,which reflects the strong appeal of the competitive,clustered,cooperative and other project characteristics of basketball in the youth group,It also shows the positive effect of competition experience on students’basketball specific skills and participation experience.(3)To sum up,it shows that internal motivation has a strong positive impact on the behavior of junior high school students participating in basketball,so the cultivation and stimulation of young people’s motivation should focus on internal motivation;The external motivation shows an external force in the development of young people’s motivation.On the basis of exerting its benign effect,we should use various means to promote the formation of their positive internal motivation.
