| The difficulty for disadvantaged women to re-employment has become a widespread phenomenon.Although various government policies have provided guarantees for the re-employment of disadvantaged women, they have not addressed the deep-seated causes of the lack of employment motivation among disadvantaged women. This has led to a sustained and repeated unemployment situation for disadvantaged women, ultimately resulting in a complete loss of initiative and autonomy in seeking employment.Based on this, this study takes the perspective of asset-based approach, using the case of D city’s promotion of the flexible re-employment project for disadvantaged women through household services as an example.Through qualitative research, including on-site participatory observation and in-depth interviews, the study collected data on the internal and external asset elements that are closely related to the formation and development of the internal driving force for the re-employment of disadvantaged women, the role and value of each asset, and the interaction between the assets. The study analyzed and summarized the formation and development process and mechanism of the internal driving force for the re-employment of disadvantaged women, and proposed practical strategies for social work services to promote the formation and development of internal driving force for the flexible and stable re-employment of disadvantaged women through household services. The study found that the internal driving force has characteristics such as simple and stable formation, dynamism, and multiple related asset elements.Among them, the asset elements that are closely related to the formation and development of the internal driving force for the re-employment of disadvantaged women through household services are mainly skills, beliefs, relationships, communication, channels, and recognition. The six elements have different levels of influence, ranked in descending order as beliefs, skills, channels, recognition, communication, and relationships. There are also various combinations and correlations between the elements, which play different values in the formation and development of the internal driving force for the re-employment of disadvantaged women. Therefore, from the asset-based perspective, the study proposed four solutions to address the challenges of the lack of internal driving force, low internal driving force, insufficient internal driving force, and weak internal driving force that may arise in the process of social work intervention for the internal driving force of disadvantaged women’s re-employment,by focusing on the six internal and external asset elements closely related to the internal driving force, strengthening the internal asset of relationship formation and development, optimizing the external asset for the formation and development of internal driving force, managing the transition from public welfare projects to marketization, and providing targeted services for individual disadvantaged women’s internal driving force. The aim of this study is to continuously stimulate the internal driving force of disadvantaged women’s re-employment by integrating their internal and external resources, and ultimately achieve the mode and strategy of "helping people help themselves".In the future, this mode and strategy can be applied to a wider range of disadvantaged groups to supplement the shortcomings of policy assistance. Therefore,in the end,the study also reflects on the limitations of the research, directions for future research, and the use of research strategies, hoping for continuous improvement. |
