From Demand-oriented To Asset-based For The Rural Social Work Service Strategies Research

An important part of our society-the rural society in the process of economic development,urban and rural reform in the process of reform,a large number of population outflows from the rural areas.These result in sparse rural population,lack of motivation for economic and social development,"hollow" phenomenon,the elderly,children,etc.were left in the countryside,and become a new crow problems named "left-behind the elderly","left-behind children" and other disadvantaged groups.These disadvantaged groups have long separated from their families,lead to the elderly cannot obtain timely family care for them,which resulted the problems of loneliness,mental emptiness,inconvenience of daily life,also lead to the children have plagued of lack of family education,dropout and learning difficulties.As these problems seriously affects the development of rural society,also restricts the family development of the outflow crowd.Therefore,pays attention to the service of rural rear-left crowd becomes the necessity of social development.At present,although there are many researches on the rural social work,there is still a lack of clear and coherent understanding,especially the investigation of the practical process,and how to use and transform different social work service strategies in the course of service,which are still disagree with ambiguity.Therefore,this research aims at the present situation of rural social work,hoping to provide beneficial experience for social workers to find the strategies of rural social work service in China.This research takes advantage strengths perspective theory as the theoretical framework of research,adopts the case study method,uses the literature method,the interview method and the observation method to collect the research data,and carries on the tracking research to the case of the T-institution D project of XM City.The study founds:1.Social workers involved in rural communities services can be divided into three phases,from mainly to take the indemnificatory services to the expansion of service to asset construction based intervention strategy;2.Rural social work at different stages through the transformation of different professional working methods to achieve the transformation of the strategy.The first stage focuses on individual problem solving,adopting the method of case work and community work.The second stage focuses on mutual assistance with peer group,adopting the method of group work,The third stage focuses on community participation,supporting community construction and adopting community activities;3.The different interventions of rural social work in different phases are mainly attributable to three reasons:the target,the needs and the background of the service object.This is based on the basic logic of from demand-oriented to asset-based.The conclusions of this study will contribute to the social workers to explore the development strategies and ways of rural social work in China,and enrich the experience of the rural social work service.However,the limitation of the research ability and choice of the author's research method,this study also has a lot of shortcomings,although in some extent summed up the practice of the development model,but also the discussion is not comprehensive enough,there is a lot of research space,will also become the direction of the efforts afterwards.This study is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,introduces the research background,the research question and the research significance,suggest this research question is:1.What service strategies have social worker taken in different stages for social workers in the countryside?How are these different phases of intervention service strategies converted?What factors are affected?2.What is the service logic of these different phases of service intervention strategy?Why?The second chapter is the literature review,from the rural development situation,the rural social work,the assets for the community development theory to introduce the relevant research literature,the focus of this study is the asset text of the rural Social work service strategy;The third chapter is the theoretical framework of the research,focusing on the development of the strengths perspective theory,the main concept and the guiding role of this research.The fourth chapter focuses on the research method,also introduce the case methods and research object.The fifth chapter is found that according to the T-organization D project case study,the rural social work of intervention strategy choice,conversion and reason analysis.The sixth chapter researches and discusses,on the basis of the research and discovery,the paper compares with the existing rural social Work practice mode,analyzes the differences and characteristics of the service strategy explored in this study,also puts forward suggestions on rural social work.The seventh chapter summarizes the conclusions of this study and the limitations of the present study.
