In 2016,the General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the National Political Conference on Ideological Work in Colleges and Universities that "we should strengthen the construction of teachers’ ethics and style.".Therefore,the Ministry of Education promotes the construction of teachers’ ethics and style from the perspective of teacher education.On October 26,2017,in order to standardize and guide the construction of teacher education majors,establish a complete quality assurance mechanism for teacher education,and continuously improve the quality of the teaching staff,the Ministry of Education issued the "Implementation Measures for the Certification of Teacher Education Majors in General Colleges and Universities(Provisional)".As the reserve force for future physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools,students majoring in physical education should receive professional ethics cultivation education before taking up their jobs and establish a set of professional ethics cultivation systems that are suitable for their professional development.This can improve the quality of talent cultivation and achieve the goal of transferring outstanding talents to the field of education.This has important practical significance for accelerating China’s pace towards becoming a strong education and sports country.This article takes the certification of teacher education majors as the background and combines the characteristics of the profession to construct a model for cultivating the professional ethics of pre service physical education teachers.The aim is to enhance the practical ability of pre service physical education teachers’ professional ethics and provide reasonable opinions and suggestions for the cultivation of physical education majors in universities.This paper uses the methods of literature review,text analysis,logical analysis,expert interviews,and mathematical statistics to summarize the necessity of constructing the pre service PE teacher ethics training model,analyzes the talent training programs of physical education majors in 14 universities and the current situation of the second classroom,summarizes the current status of pre service PE teacher ethics training,and constructs the pre service PE teacher ethics training model under the background of teacher certification.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Under the background of certification in teacher education majors,strengthening the education of professional ethics for students majoring in physical education is not only a requirement for implementing the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating talents,but also a prerequisite for cultivating good teachers with four qualities.It is also an inevitable requirement for the personal professional development of teachers.(2)The current education on cultivating professional ethics for pre service physical education teachers has achieved certain results,but there are still shortcomings in the curriculum system of professional ethics and a single training curriculum;The subject of teacher ethics evaluation is single,and the evaluation of teacher ethics is one-sided;The gap between the theory and practice of teacher ethics,and the phased education process;The lack of linkage between the first classroom and the second classroom,and the problem of poor collaborative moral education.(3)Based on the theory of "the unity of moral knowledge and action,the formation laws of ideological and moral character,and the theory of educational life",based on the requirements of teacher education certification for teacher ethics,guided by the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,and following the basic principles of "combining explicit and implicit moral education,unifying oral and practical education,combining stage and whole process,and combining theory and practice",construct a teacher ethics training model with "one center(teacher ethics development),two combinations(combination of the first and second classrooms,and combination of on campus and off campus),three stages(teacher ethics awareness,teacher ethics identification,and teacher ethics practice),and four evaluations(student evaluation,teacher evaluation,internship unit evaluation,and department evaluation)".
