| Attention quality is closely related to students ’ academic pertormance,especially for children aged 7-9 years old.This stage is the peak period of attention ability devel opment and the golden period of learning rise.At this time,cultivating attention qual ity is conducive to the development of learning ability and the improvement of aca demic performance.The study found that proper participation in physical exercise is co nducive to improving the body ’s attention level.According to the ’ China Youth Eye Health Research Report’,about 40%of students in primary and secondary schools in China are distracted in the process of classroom learning,which leads to low learnin g efficiency and poor performance,and even causes some students to lose interest in le arning and weariness.This article mainly uses the literature data method,questionnaires urvey method,experimental method,expert interview method,and mathematical analysi s method to select primary school students aged 7-9 from Zhangjiasanxiang Primary S chool in Jingzhou City and have no experience in table tennis sports as experimenta l subjects.Observe the four dimensions of attention quality before and after the 10-w eek planned table tennis ball training intervention,namely attention span,attention stability,attention transfer,and attention distribution.This study draws the followin g main conclusions:(1)Increasing table tennis ball training exercise intervention after class can effectively improve the attention level of children aged 7-9.(2)After 10 weeks and 30 times of after-school table tennis ball training ball movement intervention,the experimental group students ’ attention level of each dimension has a certain degree of improvement,and the gap between the experimental g roup and the control group’s attention level from no significant difference before the ex periment to significant difference after the experiment.The significance test in the group showed that before and after the experiment,there were significant differences in t he overall level of attention quality and the level of each dimension in the experimental group,while there was no significant difference in the level of each dimension in the con trol group.It shows that the students in the experimental group after 10 weeks of 30 tim es of table tennis ball training exercise intervention,their attention level of the dimension s of the promotion effect is significantly better than the control group of students.Theref ore,it can be concluded that the ball training exercise intervention to add table tennis aft er class can effectively improve the attention level of children aged 7-9 years.(3)After 10 weeks of 30 times of tabletennis ball training exercise intervention,thro ugh the comparison of the data of the experimental group before and after the experiment,it is found that table tennis ball training has a significant effect on the overall level of a ttention of children aged 7-9 years.Among them,table tennis raining has the most si gnificant effect on the breadth and stability of attention of children aged 7-9 years,f ollowed by a slight effect on the distribution of attention,and no significant improvement effect on the transfer ability of attention.The following recommendations are made:(1)7-9 years old is an important stage for the development of children’s physical and mental health.At this time,it is a critical period for attention training.As an important part of school-age children,campus life is one of the main factors for the good development of attention.Zhangjia Sanxiang Primary School should pay attention to the advantages of traditional table tennis skills,incorporate table tennis ball training into the campus sports activities of lower-grade children,and allow students to scientifically accept such sports activities.Exercise has a positive effect on the physical and mental health development of students and can effectively improve the attention quality of children aged 7-9 years.(2)Parents should actively cooperate with schools,actively communicate,give full play to the resource advantages of all parties to form a linkage mechanism among family,school and society,and jointly contribute to the physical and mental health development of students.At the same time,parents are not only supervisors but also playmates of children’s physical exercise,and actively participate in children’s physical activities.At the same time,parents should pay attention to the development of children’s physical health,so that children can effectively use extracurricular time to train table tennis ball,so as to enhance physical health and attention.(3)Interest is the biggest motivation for students to learn new knowledge and skills.Teachers should fully consider students ’ cognitive understanding ability and interest in learning when teaching.Children aged 7-9 are in a stage of strong curiosity and easy to be disturbed by the outside world.They will reject and resist things they do not like.Therefore,in view of this phenomenon,teachers should fully consider the characteristics of students ’ age learning,follow the teaching principle of ’ game+competition’,choose appropriate teaching methods,carry out situational teaching design or game teaching,and integrate sports exercises into games and competitions.In addition,teachers should observe students ’ mental state in time when choosing teaching content,choose appropriate pre-class games to actively mobilize students ’ learning
