Study On The Impact Of Rural Labor Transfer On Farmers’ Income

The 20 th CPC Report clearly states that "we will implement the strategy of giving priority to employment,promote high-quality and full employment,and broaden the channels for farmers to increase their income and get rich." The No.1 document of the Central Committee in 2023 emphasizes "promoting the high-quality development of rural industries,expanding the industries of enriching the people in counties,and promoting the employment and income of farmers." This shows that the Party and the government attach great importance to rural labor transfer employment and farmers’ income and other livelihood issues.Based on field research data,this paper discusses the impact of rural labor transfer on farmers’ income in Jingzhou City,in order to provide practical policy suggestions for rural labor transfer and farmers’ income increase.In this paper,by combing the relevant theoretical studies of rural labor transfer at home and abroad,taking the rural labor force in Jingzhou as the research object,the impact of rural labor transfer on farmers’ income is studied.Firstly,through the preliminary analysis of the data,the farmer’s income is defined as wage income and household business income.Secondly,OLS multiple regression model was used to summarize and analyze the characteristic factors of rural labor force in Jingzhou City.The empirical analysis shows that the transfer of rural labor force in Jingzhou has a positive impact on the wage income of farmers,the age of the rural labor force in Jingzhou has a negative impact on the wage income of farmers,the education level of the rural labor force in Jingzhou has a positive impact on the wage income of farmers,the marital status of the rural labor force in Jingzhou has a positive impact on the wage income of farmers.The transfer of rural labor force in Jingzhou has a negative impact on the family operating income of farmers,the gender of the rural labor force has a positive impact on the family operating income of farmers,and the per capita cultivated land area of the rural labor force in Jingzhou has a negative impact on the family operating income of farmers.In a word,the rural labor transfer in Jingzhou City has a significant impact on the wage income and household income of farmers.On this basis,this paper further discusses the influence factors of rural labor force transfer on wage income and household operating income of farmers in Jingzhou City,and puts forward some policy suggestions to promote rural labor force transfer in Jingzhou City and increase wage income and household operating income of farmers.
