Modern prose is an important part of reading teaching in secondary school in China,and the modern prose selected in the middle school language textbooks has rich teaching value because of its own characteristics.Classroom dialogue is an exchange of ideas between teachers and students,and between students and teachers,with the help of verbal or non-verbal forms,in order to accomplish the teaching objectives and tasks,and its success or failure largely affects the effectiveness of modern prose classroom teaching.Although classroom dialogue has always been the focus of academic and educational circles,there are still problems of “missing dialogue subjects”,“inappropriate dialogue contents”and“single form of dialogue”in actual modern prose classroom dialogue.However,there are still problems such as “missing dialogue subjects”,“inappropriate dialogue content”and“single form of dialogue”in the actual modern prose classroom,which make it difficult to cultivate students’ core literacy through modern prose learning.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to improve the current situation of dialogue in middle school modern prose classroom and enhance the efficiency of learning modern prose classroom in middle school.This paper focuses on the study of classroom dialogue in junior high school modern prose on the basis of the concept of pedagogical dialogue.During the period,it identifies the concepts of dialogue,dialogue teaching and teaching dialogue by reading relevant literature,and sorts out the types and characteristics of classroom dialogue,the connotation,classification,the teaching value of selected pieces and the characteristics of selected pieces of modern prose in junior high school,so as to provide reference for teachers and students to understand the basic elements of dialogue in junior high school modern prose classroom.This paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of dialogue in junior high school modern prose classroom with the help of questionnaire and interview method,finds out the problems of dialogue in junior high school modern prose classroom in terms of dialogue subjects,dialogue contents and dialogue forms,and proposes corresponding improvement strategies at the theoretical and practical levels by analyzing the causes of the problems.Teachers should pay attention to the study and reflection of dialogue theory to provide a theoretical basis for classroom dialogue;create a good classroom atmosphere,give students expectations of success,and scientifically prep modern prose so that students have conditions to participate in classroom dialogue;increase dialogue forms,enrich topic types and change reading methods so that students are interested in participating in classroom dialogue;determine dialogue topics based on textbooks,modern prose genres and types to prevent classroom The topics set should adhere to the principles of easy to difficult,quality,and disparity,so as to avoid the ineffectiveness of modern prose classroom dialogue;focus on creating contexts,building scaffolds,adjusting directions,and evaluating effectively in the process of dialogue to promote the smooth development of modern prose classroom dialogue.
