One of the four core qualities of high school geography,"geographical practice",has been widely concerned by the academic circle.As the leader of teaching work and the practitioner of teaching tasks,the level of students’ geographical practical ability literacy is largely affected by the teacher’s practical teaching literacy.High school geography teachers should not only have the common practical teaching quality of teachers of all subjects,but also have the practical teaching quality of geography in combination with the comprehensive and practical characteristics of this subject.The overall idea of the article is as follows:The first is to define the connotation and structure of high school geography teachers’ practical teaching literacy through literature analysis.It is defined that geography teachers construct the connotation of practical teaching literacy from two dimensions,namely,the mastery of practical knowledge,practical skills and methods,and practical literacy.The connotation of high school geography teachers’ practical teaching literacy in the horizontal dimension includes six aspects: geographical observation and measurement ability,geographical mapping ability,geographical field ability,geographical experiment operation ability,geographical investigation and analysis ability,and geographical information technology application ability.This is the logical starting point of this study and the direct theoretical basis of questionnaire design.The second is to analyze the current situation of the practical teaching literacy level of high school geography teachers through questionnaire survey,and summarize the factors affecting the practical teaching literacy of high school geography teachers.The results show that high school geography teachers do not pay enough attention to the actual teaching quality.Under the influence of high school geography teaching pressure,teachers’ opportunities to carry out practical teaching are restricted.Schools do not pay enough attention to the imperfect facilities such as learning hardware;The practical teaching quality of teachers needs to be further improved.For example,high school geography teachers receive less training and the quality is poor.Thirdly,according to the survey results,strategies to improve the practical teaching quality of high school geography teachers are proposed from the three aspects of teachers,schools and education authorities.First of all,teachers should pay attention to their own development and strengthen cooperation.Enhance their own professional development through geography practice teaching and research,closely follow the trend of education,adhere to the problem-oriented;Strengthen the cooperation and exchange between teachers,break the bottleneck of teachers’ thinking.Secondly,schools should strengthen geography teaching,research and training,improve the evaluation system and incentive mechanism to promote the development of geography teachers’ practical literacy,and carry out systematic training combining observation training and participatory training.Finally,education authorities should strengthen the construction of normal university students,colleges and universities should do a good job of geography practice practice and high school geography practice teaching,optimize the course structure,add practical courses,hold various forms of geography practice teaching activities and competitions.The practical teaching literacy of front-line teachers can be improved from the above three aspects,so as to strengthen the construction of teacher team and promote the better implementation of curriculum reform.
