| In today’s society,with the increasing number of elderly people with silver hair,the daily life of the elderly has attracted more and more attention from scholars.Compared with the urban areas,the medical resources and infrastructure in rural areas are not perfect.In the background of the serious aging,the old-age care problem in rural areas is more significant.With the gradual increase of the age of the elderly,the physical quality of the elderly gradually deteriorates.The imperfect medical and pension services in rural areas not only bring bad effects on the physical health of the elderly,but also make the elderly have negative psychological effects.In the current stage,family pension is the main way of rural pension.The elderly in rural areas rely on their children and other relatives,whose economic support,care support and emotional communication are particularly important to the daily life and emotions of the elderly in rural areas.However,a large number of young rural labor go out for work.As a result,the elderly in rural areas cannot get the careful care and daily care from their relatives,such as children,and their daily life and mental conditions are worrying.Therefore,it is particularly urgent to explore the influence of family pension on the happiness of the elderly in rural areas.Whether a society is happy or not,it is very important to see whether old people are happy or not.Based on the reality in China,whether the elderly are happy or not is important to see whether the elderly in rural areas are happy.Undeniably,family pension is still the main mode of rural elderly pension in China.The statistical analysis of the questionnaire shows that: the elderly in rural areas have a good and very good evaluation of their life account for 35.5% and3%,respectively,and the proportion of the elderly who have an average evaluation of their life is 55.5%.The range of happiness score set by the elderly in rural areas for self-emotional evaluation is 0-25.The number of people who scored 19 points in self-emotional evaluation accounts for the largest proportion(12.8%),the number of people who scored full 25 points only accounts for 0.3%,and the number of the elderly who scored more than 20 points(including)accounts for 28.7%.58.5 percent of seniors scored 18 points or less,and 0 percent scored 5 points or less.On the whole,the happiness of the elderly in rural areas is average.OLS and Logit regression analysis showed that the self-life happiness and self-emotional evaluation happiness of the elderly were relatively high when they received financial support from their children and other relatives.When the elderly were ill,their children and other relatives provided life care,which made them happier,and their self-emotional evaluation happiness was relatively higher.The elderly who have children and other relatives give emotional communication have relatively higher self-life evaluation happiness and selfemotional evaluation happiness than no communication.The regression analysis of the happiness of the rural elderly by gender shows that: the happiness of the rural elderly women who receive financial support from their children and other relatives is significantly improved;The elderly women will be more happy than the elderly men when they get care of their children and other relatives;Elderly women are more willing to comfort themselves by emotional communication with their children and relatives.The regression analysis of the happiness of the rural elderly by age group shows that: the rural elderly aged 85 and above need the economic support of their children and other relatives more;And no matter which stage of the elderly,sick,more willing to accept children and other relatives care;Rural seniors aged 65-74 and 75-84 are more likely to feel happy by chatting with friends and neighbors,while those aged 85 and above are more likely to communicate with their children and other relatives.Under the reality that the elderly care is mainly borne by the family in rural areas,to enhance the happiness of the elderly in rural areas,the family,the government and relevant social parties need to make joint efforts from the aspects of economic support,life care and psychological and emotional comfort.To increase the level of financial support for the elderly from children and other relatives,improve the new rural social endowment insurance system,and encourage social organizations to provide financial assistance to the elderly;In the aspect of life care,strengthen children and other relatives to take care of the elderly,promote the harmonious relationship between rural neighbors and mutual care,regular health check-ups for rural elderly people;In terms of spiritual comfort,children and other relatives pay more attention to and give emotional communication needs and spiritual comfort to the elderly in rural areas,and give play to the role of rural communities in organizing communication activities for the elderly. |
