The teaching of biographical texts occupies an important place in senior secondary language teaching,with their simple and concise language,clear storylines and rich characters,and are still of great value for study and research after a long period of time,making them a key focus and examination point in senior secondary language teaching.The study of biographical texts can help students to understand the life and character traits of the ancients,to perceive their ways of dealing with the world and their excellent qualities,to feel the changes and developments in history,and thus to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.However,in the teaching and learning process of biographical literary texts in high school,there are phenomena such as teachers neglecting the genre and background knowledge,not paying attention to the cultivation of students’ core literacy,making students’ learning lack interest and low learning efficiency,and failing to truly realise the meaning and value of teaching biographical literary texts.Considering this phenomenon,this paper takes the teaching of biographical literary texts in high school languages as the centre of research,explores the teaching strategies of biographical literary texts in the light of the current situation,analyses the problems existing in teachers’ teaching and students’ learning,and then proposes teaching methods that can be improved to improve the quality of teachers’ teaching on biographical literary texts and to guide students’ learning methods.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is an overview of biographical literary texts and an exploration of their research value.It focuses on the value and significance of biographical literary texts in cultivating the core literacy of language subjects for high school students,a statistical analysis of the titles of biographical literary texts in high school language textbooks of the Humanities and Ministry of Education editions,as well as thethe selection and analysis of materials in the literary reading questions in the national paper of the college entrance examination language,reflecting the teaching of biographical literary texts The importance of teaching biographical texts.This is followed by the second part,which is a survey of the teaching and learning of biographical texts in high school languages,and an analysis of the problems and causes of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning in the light of the current situation.The third part is to propose teaching strategies in response to the survey and analysis,and to suggest appropriate and reasonable teaching methods from the teacher’s perspective in order to improve the quality of teachers’ teaching,enhance their own quality,stimulate students’ interest in learning,and discover the beauty and value of biographical literary texts.The fourth part is to design a teaching case based on the current teaching situation and the proposed teaching strategies,and to analyse the case as a reference for the teaching of biographical literary texts in high schools.
