| Research objective: The aging problem of Chinese population is becoming more and more serious. It has become a national strategy to deal with the aging of population.Although population aging has become a global phenomenon, the process of population aging in China is much faster than that of western developed countries, and the scale of population aging is much higher than that of western countries. At present, the number of empty-nesters in China is on the rise, especially with the rapid development of urbanization, the physical quality and mental resilience of rural empty-nesters are serious problems, the quality of life is declining, and the overall health situation is precarious. Therefore, this paper, through the exercise intervention means of Tai Chi combined with resistance training, discusses the influence on the physical fitness and mental resilience of rural empty-nesters,explores the advantages of this exercise intervention method compared with other exercise intervention methods, and provides theoretical basis and method reference for scientific physical exercise of the empty-nesters in rural areas.Study subjects: Random sampling method was used to select empty nesters in rural areas of Qingfeng County,Henan Province as initial experimental subjects, and after screening,a total of 90 qualified empty nesters were recruited, and finally 75 empty nesters aged 60-75 insisted on completing the experiment. Methods: The elderly empty-nesters were randomly divided into four groups: Tai chi group(20 persons),resistance training group(20 persons),tai chi integrated resistance training group(20 persons)and control group(15 persons). The duration of exercise intervention was 8 weeks. The Tai Chi group trained three times a week, and practiced Tai Chi on Tuesdays,Thursdays and Saturdays for 1 hour each time for 2 months. The resistance training group trained three times a week, and received resistance training with elastic band every Tuesday,Thursday and Saturday for one hour each time for two months. The Tai Chi integrated resistance training group trained three times a week, and performed Tai Chi and resistance training with elastic band every Monday,Wednesday and Friday for 1 hour each time for two months. In the same test environment, the test indicators were: seated forward bend, grip strength, choice response time, body weight, balance ability,6-meter walking speed.Research results:(1)After exercise intervention, the seated forward flexion, grip strength, sensitivity, speed and balance ability of Taijiquan group, resistance training group and Taijiquan integrated resistance training group were significantly different from those of control group(P <0.01).After exercise intervention, the forward flexion, grip strength, sensitivity, speed and balance ability of Taijiquan integrated resistance training group were significantly higher than those of Taijiquan and resistance training group(P < 0.01).(2)After exercise intervention, the scores of psychological resilience in Taijiquan group, resistance training group and Taijiquan combined resistance training group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P < 0.01).After exercise intervention, the scores of psychological resilience of Taijiquan combined resistance training group were significantly higher than those of Taijiquan and resistance training group(P < 0.01).(3)Taijiquan combined with resistance training can not only directly affect the mental resilience of rural empty-nesters,but also indirectly influence their mental resilience through improving their physical fitness.Research conclusion:(1)After 8 weeks of Tai Chi integrated resistance training, all indexes of physical fitness and all dimensions of mental resilience of the subjects showed significant differences compared with before the experiment, indicating that Tai chi integrated resistance training can effectively improve the physical fitness and mental resilience of the rural empty nesters.(2)The improvement of physical fitness and mental resilience of the experimental group was proportional to the exercise time, and all indicators of physical fitness and all dimensions of mental resilience showed a good trend in the training process.Adhering to Taijiquan and resistance training can effectively enhance the physical fitness of the elderly and improve the level of mental resilience.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between Tai Chi combined with resistance training and physical fitness of rural empty nesters;there is a significant positive correlation between Tai chi combined with resistance training and mental resilience of rural empty nesters;there is a significant positive correlation between physical fitness and mental resilience of rural empty nesters.(4)Taijiquan integrated resistance training can not only directly affect the mental resilience of rural empty-nesters,but also indirectly affect the mental resilience of rural emptynesters through improving physical fitness.Physical fitness has a partial mediating effect between Taijiquan integrated resistance training and mental resilience. |
