| The employment of college graduates is related to the livelihood of the whole society, and is of great significance to ensure social harmony and stability. However, the new normal of economic development, the adjustment of industrial structure, the mismatch between talent supply and demand, and the new characteristics of employment concept make the employment environment more severe and complex. While the country and society vigorously promote the priority strategy and active employment policy for graduates, the opposite phenomenon of "slow employment" is gradually rising, which brings new challenges to the employment promotion of the country and universities. It is of great value to study the "slow employment" intention of college graduates to predict their "slow employment" behavior.Therefore,in-depth discussion of the factors affecting the intention of "slow employment" of college graduates will play a positive role in the early detection of graduates "slow employment" behavior and timely response. On the basis of combing relevant literature on "slow employment",this paper combines the theory of planned behavior with the theory of social capital, and takes the graduates of some universities in Anhui Province in 2021 as the research object. After reliability and validity test and descriptive statistical analysis of questionnaire data, multiple regression analysis and structural equation model were used to explore the effect mechanism of behavioral cognition(behavioral attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control)and social capital(endowed social capital and post-induced social capital)on graduates’ intention to "slow employment".Baron &Kenny stepwise method and Bootstrap method were used to test the mediating effect of behavioral cognition on the effect of social capital on intention to "slow employment".The conclusions are as follows:(1)"Slow employment" behavioral attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control have a significant positive impact on the intention of "slow employment" of graduates.(2)There is heterogeneity in the influence of endowed social capital and post-induced social capital on graduates’ intention of "slow employment".Among them, the endowed social capital positively affects the intention of "slow employment",and the behavioral attitude and subjective norms play a completely mediating role in the process.Post-induced social capital negatively affects the intention of "slow employment",while behavioral attitude and perceived behavioral control play a completely mediating role in the process.According to the research conclusions, practical approaches to tackle the phenomenon of "slow employment" are proposed from the perspectives of improving graduates’ employment ability, creating an atmosphere of family cooperation in employment, optimizing university talent training programs and constructing an external environment conducive to graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship,so as to provide relevant reference for realizing higher quality and more full employment. In the context of the government’s continuous emphasis on employment priority and active employment, and the trend of "slow employment" continues unabated, the significance of this study lies in: On the one hand, the theory of planned behavior is combined with the theory of social capital to verify the mechanism of the behavioral cognition of "slow employment" and social capital on the intention of "slow employment" of college graduates,so as to expand the employment-related theories. On the other hand,in accordance with the current employment reality of "slow employment",it is convenient to identify the intention of "slow employment" of graduates in advance, and timely control and intervention of "slow employment" behavior, providing reference for the formulation of targeted and forward-looking employment policies. |
