| The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that employment is the greatest livelihood of the people. The employment of college students is the focus of employment work, but in recent years, the problem of difficult employment for college graduates has become more and more prominent, and at the same time, the phenomenon of "slow employment" has appeared.According to a survey by China Youth Daily in 2018,the proportion of college students with "slow employment" is as high as 72.9%,and "slow employment" is becoming more and more common. The "slow employment" of college graduates will lead to waste of human resources, and will also affect their mental health and future career development, and there is a risk of developing into "old people" and "Nite people".This paper defines the “slow employment intention of emergency college graduates” as the preference for non-employment and further studies, such as college graduates leaving school at the node of graduation year, and preferring to choose non-employment and further studies such as civil servants, examinations, postgraduate entrance examinations, teaching and study tours, accompanying parents,etc.will.This paper mainly uses the method of combining theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, uses relevant data and interview data to describe the current situation of "slow employment" of college graduates, uses interviews and questionnaires to collect relevant data, and uses binary logistic regression model to analyze The influence of factors such as gender, urban and rural distribution, family economic status, and changes in employment environment on the attitude of college graduates "slow employment",using factor analysis to explore the influencing factors of college graduates "slow employment".The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Environmental factors have a significant impact on the willingness to "slow employment".College graduates who believe that opportunities are reduced or increased are more likely to choose "slow employment" than college graduates who believe that employment opportunities remain unchanged.Combined with the reasons for choosing "slow employment",college graduates who believe that employment opportunities are reduced may improve their human capital by improving their academic qualifications and taking qualification certificates during the "slow employment" period, thereby obtaining better employment opportunities.Or choose to temporarily avoid employment by teaching, studying, accompanying parents, etc. The minority of college graduates who believe that employment opportunities have increased may be due to the judgment of the increase in the supply of policy jobs such as the expansion of civil servants,so they choose "slow employment" to make more test preparation attempts.(2)The family factor has a significant influence on the family’s willingness to "slow employment".College graduates from urban areas are more likely to choose "slow employment" than college graduates from rural areas. The possible reason is that college graduates from urban colleges and universities have higher employment expectations for their home college graduates, and their social capital is also relatively rich,so they are more confident to find rational jobs during the "slow employment" period. From the perspective of the family economic level, the family economic conditions passed the significance test in the cross-contingency analysis, but in the regression analysis, its influence on the willingness to “slow employment” was not significant, and the possible reason was the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic.Compared with environmental and personal factors, the family economic level has less influence on the choice of "slow employment" for college graduates.(3)Personal factors have a significant impact on the willingness to “slow employment”.In terms of gender, women are more willing to choose "slow employment" than men. This may be caused by the difference in the division of labor between men and women caused by traditional concepts in my country.Men have to bear the economic responsibility of the family,so they need "quick employment" to meet the family’s economic needs, while women’s economic pressure is less. From the perspective of career planning, college graduates without a clear career plan are more likely to choose "slow employment" than those with a career plan. From the perspective of job expectations, college graduates with expected positions in government agencies and institutions are more likely to choose "slow employment" than those with expected positions in private enterprises and freelance jobs. The possible reason is that the first two have higher requirements for graduates and fewer positions, which are more difficult than other positions. The number of positions for civil servants recruited every year is limited but there are many applicants,so some college graduates are still preparing for the exam after graduation.Civil servants, they think it’s worth taking a little more time to pass the exam.According to the research conclusions, this paper puts forward suggestions to solve the problem of "slow employment" of college graduates, such as improving the employment environment at the government level, providing career guidance at the college level, providing career guidance at the family level, and changing concepts and improving the ability at the individual level. |
