Our country is a united multi-ethnic country.National unity concerns our social harmony,people’s happiness and national security.It is a major decision made by the Communist Party of China Central Committee and an important part of the ideological and political education work of the Party and the country in the new era.It bears on the growth and success of students,social harmony and national stability,and is of great practical and strategic significance.The education of national unity and progress is of great significance to the formation of high school students’ correct national view,national view and values.The Communist Party of China pointed out the direction for the practice of national unity and progress education through long-term practice and summary,combined with the development of the times,under the guidance of the Marxist classic writer’s national unity thought and previous national leaders’ statements on national unity.Therefore,as the main front of education,schools must attach great importance to the necessity and importance of national unity and progressive education,so as to stabilize the cause of national unity in the whole country.The high school ideological and political class is an important channel to carry out the education of national unity and progress,so it is very important to investigate and understand the education of national unity and progress in the high school ideological and political class.At present,we have made great achievements in national unity and progress education,which still exist some problems through questionnaires.In the implementation of the education of ethnic unity and progress in high school ideological and political classes,there are some problems,such as less propaganda and popularization of the contents related to ethnic unity,insufficient understanding and implementation of ideological and political class teachers,and insufficient grasp and application of ethnic unity by students.In view of the existing problems and their causes,on the basis of combining the content of textbooks and current and political hot issues,this paper proposes to use novel and unique teaching methods and evaluation methods to deeply understand and flexibly apply the content of education on national unity and progress,and promote the implementation of the importance of education on national unity and progress by means of education concept of national unity and progress and local resources in teaching.Through these measures,the ideological and political lessons of senior high school and the education of national unity and progress can be organically linked to achieve the desired goal and effect.
