Human beings have culture when they have civilization,and practice creates culture,reflecting the ideology of political economy.The excellent traditional Chinese culture has been a precious treasure left to us by the ancients from ancient times to the present,creating a rich and colorful life for us and promoting the sustainable development of the Chinese nation.In order to better cultivate morality and strengthen students’ in-depth learning and understanding of excellent traditional Chinese culture,the Ministry of Education issued the Guiding Outline for Improving Chinese Traditional Culture Education in 2014.As educators in the ethics and rule of law course of junior high school,how to integrate the excellent traditional Chinese culture with classroom teaching is a question and direction that educators need to explore.The 2016 junior high school ethics and rule of law textbook covers a large number of excellent traditional Chinese cultural knowledge,both in the main text and in the expansion part of related links,which presents us with excellent traditional Chinese cultural materials,which provides reliable resources for our in-depth exploration and research.The "Curriculum Standards for Ethics and the Rule of Law in Compulsory Education"(2022 edition)mentions that in the junior high school "Ethics and the Rule of Law" course,it is necessary to strengthen students’ learning of excellent traditional Chinese culture,experience the long and profound history of excellent traditional Chinese culture,and enable students to form correct core qualities such as political identity,moral accomplishment,and sound personality through the study of excellent traditional Chinese culture.This paper takes the application of excellent traditional Chinese culture in the teaching of "Ethics and the Rule of Law" in junior high school as the research object,and takes the application strategy of excellent traditional Chinese culture in the teaching of "Ethics and Rule of Law" in junior high school as the main research content.One representative teaching case was selected as research data from many cases of using excellent traditional Chinese culture to teach "Ethics and the Rule of Law" in junior high school.Taking the literature review method,analysis and induction method and case study method as the research methods,the application strategy of excellent traditional Chinese culture in the teaching of "Ethics and Rule of Law" in junior high school was analyzed,and specific teaching cases were designed to display and explain the application strategy.This article is divided into five parts:The first part analyzes the theoretical basis in depth,summarizes the connotation,concept and characteristics of Chinese excellent traditional culture,the nature and characteristics of the curriculum of the junior high school ethics and rule of law course,the relationship between the junior high school ethics and rule of law course and the excellent traditional Chinese culture,the concept of application strategy,and the theoretical basis used in this article.The second part is to study and analyze the textbooks,sort out the knowledge about the excellent traditional Chinese culture in the textbooks,comprehensively consider the knowledge points of morality and the rule of law,as well as the academic situation,and formulate a table of knowledge points.In the third part,one specific case is selected for in-depth analysis and summary,and the analysis enlightenment is obtained in combination with the analysis of teaching materials.The fourth part is the application strategy of excellent traditional Chinese culture in the junior high school "Ethics and Rule of Law" class.Make full use of the excellent traditional Chinese culture in case-based teaching,inquiry-based teaching and situation-based teaching,and make full use of the excellent traditional Chinese culture in classroom introduction,new course teaching and extracurricular exploration.The fifth part takes the box "Continuing the Lifeline of Culture" in the junior high school ethics and rule of law class as an example.The author analyzes the classroom teaching situation of the use of excellent traditional Chinese culture in the junior high school ethics and rule of law course,and further shows how to effectively apply the excellent traditional Chinese culture in the junior high school "Ethics and Rule of Law" course,and summarizes the application effect of teaching practice.
