A Practical Study On Social Work Intervention To Enhance Community Belonging Of Floating Population

With the development of market economy,social economic transformation and the acceleration of urbanization,a large number of floating population poured into cities and showed a trend of concentrated living.The unit system was gradually transformed into community system,and community construction became an important part of social construction..Community is the basic unit of urban organization structure,the community of people’s social life and the basic platform of living communication.The main body and core of community is human,and people-oriented is the core of community construction and development.Therefore,community construction should not only meet the material needs of residents,but also meet their spiritual and emotional needs.Community belonging is a kind of psychological feeling and community emotion that residents consider themselves as a member of the community they live in,which is specifically manifested as residents’ trust,attachment,love and identification to community group organizations.Community belonging influence the formation and development,when residents have a strong community sense of belonging,will their own interests and the community,the combination of the construction of community care development,and investment and participate in community affairs,thus promote the development of the community,therefore,to enhance residents community sense of belonging is an important part of the community construction.This study first comb through the integration of community belonging related research literature,clear community,a sense of belonging,a sense of belonging and the concept and connotation of the social work,comb measurement,influence factors of community,foster ascension advice and social work involved in four aspects,such as the research content,clear the direction,content and theoretical basis of the study,It is concluded that community belonging is composed of three dimensions:community consciousness,community identity and community attachment.Secondly,the questionnaire and interview outline of community sense of belonging are designed around its dimensions.Thirdly,questionnaire survey and interview were used to investigate and analyze the status quo of X community belonging and its influencing factors.The results showed that :(1)the comprehensive score of X community belonging was not very high,and the community residents’ belonging was generally weak;(2)Residents of different groups have different sense of community belonging,but the level of community belonging is not significantly affected by residents’ educational level,monthly income and length of residence;(3)Living space environment,community activities and interpersonal communication have a significant impact on community belonging.Based on the social identity theory and empowerment theory,this study uses social work methods such as group work and community work to intervene in improving the sense of belonging in X community,aiming at the existing problems and influencing factors of the sense of belonging in X community.The whole intervention was composed of group activities and community activities.In practice,researchers recorded the activities in detail and measured and analyzed the group before and after the intervention.The results showed that the score of community belonging of group members was improved after the intervention.It is further verified that the intervention of social work has a certain effect and it is feasible for social work to intervene in the improvement of community belonging.Finally,through the analysis of the influencing factors of X’s community belonging and the summary of social work intervention experience,the study puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for social work intervention to improve community belonging: first,the content of social work intervention should be demand-oriented to promote residents’ participation;Second,to enhance the residents’ sense of self-efficacy;Third,resource links to enhance community support network;Fourthly,the mechanism of community participation,cultural value cohesion and group appeal response should be established.These countermeasures and suggestions apply the theories proposed by the existing research into practice,enrich the practical content of social work,and also provide some new ideas for our country to cultivate residents’ sense of community and strengthen community construction.In addition,there are still three deficiencies in the research.First,there are limitations in the relevant indexes of measuring community belonging.Secondly,questionnaire filling and data collection lack objectivity.Third,the analysis method of the study is relatively simple and needs to be enriched.
