In this paper, the direction of sociological theory, taking urban minority floating population as the research object, and rely on accurate and full of questionnaire survey and interview data, use of the sociology of knowledge and Research on the method of floating population of ethnic minority community in Lanzhou city to participate in their community participation, points out the current situation and influencing factors they mainly affect the community participation, and finally according to the conclusions of theory, the community and the present research puts forward the countermeasures to promote the ethnic floating population in urban community.First, this paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is the introduction, introduces the research origin, research at home and abroad to do a brief review and comment, and the purpose and significance of this study is introduced. The second chapter is the research design part, mainly is to define the key concepts of this article, explains the theoretical basis of this paper, put forward the hypothesis, introduced the research methods, research ideas, research site and the basic situation of the sample. The third chapter and the fourth chapter is the main part of the paper. In the third chapter, mainly on the current situation of Lanzhou city minority floating population in the community were studied.
