The need for realistic development is a major force driving theoretical innovation.The labor education thought in the "Manuscript of Economics and Philosophy of1844"(hereinafter referred to as the "Manuscript")has a clear realistic orientation,and is to better solve various problems faced by social labor at that time.The rise of the industrial revolution,the formation of the capitalist system and the upsurge of the revolutionary movement of the working class are an important background of the times that led to the formation of Marx’s thought on labor education.When Marx studied the issue of labor education,he actively sought inspiration from the thoughts of his predecessors,and mainly examined the labor education ideas of Rousseau,Pestalozzi,Saint-Simon,Fourier and Owen.The Manuscript,as a work that combines economics and philosophy for the first time,has its unique research perspective.Through the critical reference and development of Hegel’s dialectical philosophy and Feuerbach’s philosophy of humanism,and the The critical analysis of political economics together constructs the generative logic of labor education thought.Marx regards the essence of labor education as an activity that promotes the all-round development of human beings,improves the level of social productivity,and realizes the lofty ideal of communism.Therefore,he emphasized that the purpose of labor education is to make the educated understand the exploitation of labor by the capitalist system and see the phenomenon of alienated labor,so as to be able to better understand the nature of labor.Criticism,practicality,advancement,history,class and so on constitute the main features of Marx’s thought on labor education.Theoretical research must keep up with the needs of the development of the times.In recent years,the party and the state have attached great importance to the development of labor education,and it is the right time to conduct an in-depth study of the labor education ideas in the Manuscripts.From the study of the Manuscript,we can excavate the great historical significance of labor education thought: laying the theoretical foundation of historical materialism,clarifying the people-centered value position,and emphasizing the important role of material production labor.Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new stage of development,and the development of labor education will also face many new problems and challenges.At this critical moment,understanding and mastering Marx’s labor education thought can help cultivate high-level talents that meet the development requirements of the new era.Quality talents provide goals to follow,provide dynamic support for realizing the grand goal of building a powerful modern socialist country,and provide path guidance for adhering to the development path of socialist education with Chinese characteristics.
