This paper understands the pursuit of aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education as: to talk about Ideological and Political Education from an aesthetic perspective,to make Ideological and Political Education manifest the spirit of beauty,and to reflect the content and way of Aesthetic Education in the process of Ideological and Political Education.Based on the ideological and theoretical nature of Ideological and Political Education,we pay more attention to the satisfaction of the emotional needs and aesthetic expectations of the educated in the education process,so that the educated can indirectly produce a synergy with social harmony through education,thus producing inner spiritual richness and aesthetic pleasure,and to a certain extent,improving the effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education.As far as the current actual situation is concerned,the current Ideological and Political Education practice often lacks aesthetic factors,which is manifested as follows: first,over-emphasizing moral indoctrination and ignoring the spiritual needs of the educated;second,over-emphasizing the general requirements of the society and neglecting the education target’s own promotion;third,overly closed moral teaching and neglecting the role of moral practice;fourth,overly highlighting the subjectivity of the educator and mobilizing subjective initiative of the educated is insufficient.Many of the above phenomena are direct manifestations of the long-term lack of aesthetic function in Ideological and Political Education.Therefore,this paper further explores the pursuit of the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education in response to the above-mentioned defects,and proposes the construction of a scientific and effective mechanism for the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education.From clarifying "what is the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education" to "what is the specific aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education" to "what are the constraints of the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education" to "how can the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education be improved",the study is divided into four parts in total:The first chapter of this paper defines the concepts of aesthetics,aesthetic function,Ideological and Political Education aesthetics and aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education,with the aim of clarifying the concepts of Ideological and Political Education and aesthetic function.The aim is to clarify the concepts related to the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education.The authors elaborate on the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education from six aspects: theory,objective,essence,content,emotion and the whole,trace the past understanding of Ideological and Political Education and the aesthetic function,and arrive at common views such as "beauty and goodness have the same origin" and "truth,goodness and beauty are one".Finally,the four operating mechanisms of the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education,namely,"knowledge,emotion,intention and action",are described in detail.The second chapter shows in detail the specific display of the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education,which is explained in detail at three levels: micro perspective,medium perspective,and macro perspective,respectively.Starting from the aesthetic needs of individuals,aesthetic emotions,and the cultivation of aesthetic personality,we address the shortcomings of current Ideological and Political Education in order to highlight humanistic concerns,improve the current situation of insufficient educational aesthetics,effectively combine educational rationality with aesthetic sensibility,and ultimately realize the free and comprehensive development of human beings and the unity of truth,goodness and beauty.The third chapter focuses on the currently known empirical deficiencies of the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education regarding aesthetics,discussing in turn the aesthetic state of the educational subject,the aesthetic tension of the aesthetic individual,and the deficiencies of the aesthetic presentation of the educational process.From the three perspectives,it points out the current one-wayness and utilitarianism of Ideological and Political Education,thus focusing on the urgent problematic troubles of the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education in educational practice,pointing out the direction for the later practice,and further answering the realistic desirability of the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education.The fourth chapter,based on the shortcomings pointed out in the previous chapter,aims to improve the effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education in the practical path,and proposes strategies to improve the aesthetic function in Ideological and Political Education,mainly in strengthening the aesthetic concept of Ideological and Political Education,clarifying the aesthetic goals of Ideological and Political Education,and optimizing the aesthetic penetration of Ideological and Political Education,in order to transform the aesthetic concept in Ideological and Political Education and establish a positive relationship between the subject and the object of education.The relationship between the subject and the object of education is positive.It also shows the aesthetic awareness,aesthetic content,aesthetic carrier,aesthetic experience and aesthetic methods in the five aspects of the Ideological and Political Education process,and provides practical wisdom for the aesthetic function of Ideological and Political Education in order to maximize the effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education.Following the above,this paper expands and extends the basic theory of Ideological and Political Education condensation by establishing an aesthetic stance and upholding the subjectivity of Ideological and Political Education,and develops and manifests the practical life of Ideological and Political Education in terms of aesthetic function.Moreover,by responding to the cultural psychology,emotional needs and aesthetic expectations of the education targets,they can intuitively confirm the essential power of the self in the results of their own behavior and stimulate a sublime emotional experience and value interest,which not only benefits the development of the discipline,but also helps cultivate a new man of the times with a realistic spirit and romantic sentiment,and promotes Ideological and Political Education from inculcating moral teachings to helping to pursue the true meaning of life.
