| With the development of the internationalization of education,the international competition of education has intensified,and the cultivation of high-quality talents with international vision has become the content of China’s new round of educational reform,and the internationalization ability of primary and secondary school teachers is of great significance to the cultivation of students’ international vision.Singapore,which also belongs to the Confucian cultural circle,has accumulated rich experience in the pre-service training of international ability of primary and secondary school teachers.In the process of educational modernization in the new era,studying how Singapore cultivates the internationalization ability of teachers in the pre-service stage has important reference value for improving the internationalization ability of primary and secondary school teachers in China.This study comprehensively uses the literature research method and the comparative research method to carry out a series of studies on the background,practice,effectiveness and challenges of pre-service training of international ability of primary and secondary school teachers in Singapore,including the following five parts:Part Ⅰ,Introduction.Specifically,it includes the reason for selecting the topic,the research question,the research purpose,the definition of the concept,etc.The second part,the background of pre-service training of international ability of primary and secondary school teachers in Singapore,includes two parts: historical development and practical needs.The cultivation of the internationalization ability of primary and secondary school teachers in Singapore has gone through three periods: laying the foundation,actively exploring and developing and improving.Singapore’s practical demand for cultivating the internationalization ability of primary and secondary school teachers stems from two aspects:first,the international competition of education requires teachers to improve their internationalization ability;The second is the diverse population structure of multi-ethnic and multi-immigrant in Singapore.The third part,the practice of pre-service training of international ability of primary and secondary school teachers in Singapore,specifically includes three aspects: training goals,training institutions and training paths.The training goals are divided into cultivating teachers’ international knowledge,international skills,and international values.In terms of training institutions,Singapore’s Ministry of Education is the planner of pre-service training of teachers’ international ability;The National Institute of Education,Nanyang Technological University,is the bearer of pre-service training of teachers’ internationalization ability;Overseas cooperative primary and secondary schools are partners in the pre-service training of teachers’ international ability.In terms of training path,the National Institute of Education mainly cultivates the internationalization ability of teachers through the construction of a broad integrated curriculum system,the development of rich overseas exchange programs,and the provision of sufficient resources.The fourth part is about the effectiveness and challenges of pre service training of internationalization ability for primary and secondary school teachers in Singapore.The training achievements include: the improvement of Singapore teachers’ internationalization ability;Promoting the development of international abilities among primary and secondary school students;A model for cultivating teachers’ international abilities has been formed,with a wide range of curriculum education as the prominent feature.At the same time,it also faces many challenges,such as the difficulty in evaluating the effectiveness of teacher internationalization ability cultivation,the difficulty in balancing the relationship between localization and internationalization,and the relatively single subject of teacher internationalization ability cultivation.Part Ⅴ,Conclusion.This paper summarizes the pre-service training of international ability of primary and secondary school teachers in Singapore,It also suggests that the research deserves further exploration. |
