Picture books have become a popular form of artistic expression in the image-driven era.Their vivid pictures and engaging storylines guide readers through artistic situations,using narrative painting language to inspire and educate.Introducing picture book creation into junior high school art courses can create a student-centered teaching environment that builds on existing drawing skills.Through systematic picture book creation and learning,students can master the essentials of picture book creation and use this art form to express their inner thoughts and improve their artistic literacy.The picture book creation course can be based on the graphic symbols of Hainan tropical plants,with Hainan tropical plants serving as the theme of creation.Using different tools and materials for picture book creation can enhance students’ hand-on ability and artistic accomplishment,while also increasing their enthusiasm for painting.Through picture book creation,students can develop a pastoral sense and expand their concern for nature,ecology,and environmental awareness.This paper has five parts.The first part introduces the background of the paper,the significance,and purpose of the study,the current status of the study,and the research method.The second part elaborates on the creation of middle school art picture books,including the concept and characteristics of picture books,the four teaching implications of picture book creation,and successful teaching cases.The third part explores the feasibility of Hainan tropical plants in middle school art picture book creation,analyzing the artistic characteristics,exploring the elements available in Hainan tropical plants,and the teaching value of tropical plant themes.The fourth part discusses the current situation of the picture book curriculum in junior high school art teaching,interpreting the new standards,and analyzing the questionnaires.and teacher interview records related to the study.Finally,the fifth part elaborates on the practice of teaching Hainan tropical plants in junior high school art picture book courses,three courses for a total of five lessons,and concludes with a summary of the study.Innovation:1.This study proposes a fresh research topic that combines Hainan tropical plants with junior high school art picture book creation.The objective is to establish a strong link between the two and to explore the value of this integration in art education.2.By using the available elements of Hainan tropical plants as a starting point,the development of junior high school art painting courses can establish a stronger connection between local cultural resources and the art discipline.This approach enriches local characteristic art courses,broadens the scope of picture book creation courses,and enhances students’ awareness of nature,ecology,and environmental protection.Through this approach,students can gain a deeper understanding of the local environment and culture,while developing their artistic skills and creating meaningful works of art.3.Guiding students to observe and explore nature during the teaching process,to discover the beauty of things around them,and to extract the artistic elements and symbols of form,color,texture,and more from Hainan tropical plants.Combining these elements with descriptive text to organize the picture,and expressing it in the artistic form of a picture book.It is important to value students’ sharing and communication of their picture book works,affirming their individuality,teamwork,and creativity. |
