Research On Sustainable Development Evaluation Of Interdisciplinary Research Based On The Fusion Of Interdisciplinarity And Paper’s Impact

It is an important research content of informetrics to conduct scientific and technological evaluation based on quantitative indicators.At present,it is one of the important ways to solve all kinds of complex and important scientific and technological problems through interdisciplinary research,so the phenomenon of interdisciplinary research is becoming more and more common,but not all interdisciplinary research have good development prospects.Therefore,it is of great significance to evaluate the sustainable development of interdisciplinary research,which not only helps researchers select topics,but also provides important reference information for research administration to lay out interdisciplinary research policies.Scholars often evaluate interdisciplinary research through the analysis of interdisciplinarity,academic impact and social impact of papers.Interdisciplinarity is the most commonly used evaluation indicator for interdisciplinary research,which intuitively shows the essential attributes of interdisciplinary research.The existing researches have also begun to use academic impact indicators and social impact indicators which commonly used in the evaluation of papers for the analysis and evaluation of interdisciplinary research,but few researches have used these three evaluation indicators comprehensively for interdisciplinary research.Moreover,the existing methods only reflect the static development of interdisciplinary research on the time section by collecting data in a certain time slice window,and fail to pay attention to the development potential of interdisciplinary research in the future.On this basis,this thesis attempts to evaluate interdisciplinary research from a dynamic perspective by fusing interdisciplinarity,academic impact and social impact,consider the distribution characteristics of data in the entire time range,and focus on the sustainable development trend of interdisplinary research in the future.Based on the above ideas,this thesis constructs an evaluation model for sustainable development of interdisciplinary research.The evaluation model is based on three dimensions: interdisciplinarity,academic impact and social impact.The spatial evaluation method is used to map each dimension to a spatial rectangular coordinate system,and then sustainable development index is obtained by synthesizing these three dimensions through spatial distance.The inter-disciplinarity,academic impact,social impact and sustainable development index are curve-fitted by taking the year as independent variable.The sustainable development potential and trend of sample interdisciplines are characterized by the cumulative acceleration,which obtained by second-order derivation.This thesis takes Chinese academic papers of four disciplines published from 1992 to 2021 as research object: national security and intelligence science and technology,a first class discipline in the category of "Interdiscipline" in the Catalogue of Postgraduate Education Disciplines(2022);intellectual property and bioethics,a second class discipline in the List of Independently Designed Interdisciplines in Colleges and Universities.This thesis collects references,citation and download of papers in the academic database,and reading,collection and download in the Chinese social media platform.On the basis of the evaluation model,the data distribution and cumulative acceleration variation of each dimension and sustainable development index of sample disciplines are obtained.The empirical analysis shows that the data calculation results are consistent with actual situation: the sustainable development of national security,intelligence science and technology and intellectual property is good,while bioethics does not have the characteristics of sustainable development.This thesis further compares the sustainable development index with traditional evaluation indicators.The comparative analysis shows that the sustainable development index can balance the development situation of interdisciplinary research characterized by interdisciplinarity and paper’s impact,and the comprehensive multi-angle evaluation can better reveal the development trend of interdisciplinary research.So that the evaluation model for sustainable development of interdisciplinary research which fuses interdisciplinarity and paper’s impact has strong universality.
