It is an important issue concernd by the edcational manager Co facilitate teacher's professional development through the evaluation. But we know little both about the ways facilitating teacer's professional development through evaluation and about the relations between evaluaion and teacher's professional development. And what's more, it is unclear that whether the actual teacher's evaluation system facilitates or hinders teacher's professional development. Factually, evaluation and teacher's professional development are indivisible. In order to make efforts for teacher's professional development in our country, this dissertation aims to construct an ideal evaluation model facilitating teacher's professional development. Around this topic, the dissertation goes as following:In the first section, the author probe the theory about the teacher's professional development. The dissertation points out that the teaching job is a developing profession .This part disscusses the contents and periods of teacher professional development,then criticise the actual "teacher's training program.In the second section, the author investigate the actual teacher's evaluation system by sending out questionnaires and interviewing with the principals. The author probes into the negative factors in the actual teacher evaluation that hinder teacher's professional evaluation. For example, the disjoint between the evaluation activities and teacher professional activities results in the school's neglection of teacher's professional development. The dorminent principle "cute of efficiency" leads to the losing of teacher's subject. The up-to-down evaluation system . What is more,the actual teacher's evaluation not only goes against the atmosphere which helps teachers to develop their professions, but alsobrings about the spread of the "diploma education".In the third section, based on the principls about the teacher's professional development, the author constructed the ideal model of facilitating teacher's professional development. The ideal model includes the following aspects. In the perspective of evaluation's intention, we should stress the motivation rather than rewards and punishment. In the evaluation's atomosphere, we should invite teachers to paticipate in the evaluation process.In the perspective of evaluation subject, we should stand out the multiple roles of the evaluation subject,especially the nonaligned agencies. In the perspective of evaluation methods, we should apply not only the traditional methods, but also ethnics research method and other qualitative methods. In the content of evaluation, we should attach importance to the evaluation for teacher's practical knowledge.In the final section, the author points out the sustainable factors which are necessary to the ideal model of teacher's professional evaluation, including caring more for the teacher's professional development, treating better for teachers, establishing the according polices and laws and offering the necessary resouces and so on.
