As the two systems that are most closely connected to children,promoting home school cooperation plays a pivotal role in the healthy growth and development of children.As an important platform for implementing home school cooperation,home school cooperation organizations can provide a solid organizational guarantee for the development of home school cooperation.In the world,the American Parent Teacher Association is the earliest and largest home school cooperation organization.After more than 120 years of development,the organization has formed a relatively mature national network system,playing an irreplaceable role in promoting home school cooperation,and has accumulated a lot of experience in the field of home school cooperation.However,as the most common organizational form of school cooperative organizations in our country,parent committees still face many problems in the development process.Therefore,this article focuses on the role of the American PTA in promoting home school cooperation,with a view to providing some empirical thinking for the construction and strengthening of school cooperation organizations in China.This article adopts historical research methods,literature research methods,and comparative research methods,with the American Parent Teacher Association as the research object.Based on reading a large amount of domestic and foreign literature,it explores how the American Parent Teacher Association promotes home school cooperation.firstly,the development stages of the American Parent Teacher Association in promoting home school cooperation were summarized with the central words "Parent Teacher Association of America" and "Home School Cooperation".Overall,the Parent Teacher Association of America has gone through three stages: in the first stage,the National Mother’s Congress gradually began to focus on cooperation between families and schools;In the second stage,the American Parent Teacher Association began to speak independently for parents;In the third stage,the American Parent Teacher Association is committed to home school collaboration.Secondly,based on the "AGIL model",this paper analyzes the strategies chosen by the American Parent Teacher Association in promoting home school cooperation around the four functions of "adaptation","goal achievement","integration",and "maintenance",and comprehensively analyzes the measures taken by the association to achieve these four functions.Firstly,for any organization,supportive resources such as funds and manpower are essential conditions.In addition to obtaining the necessary resources,the American Association of Parents and Teachers has also actively exported and developed a series of standards and guidelines for home school cooperation,in order to expand the impact of home school cooperation.Secondly,the organizational goal is to guide the work of the Parent Teacher Association of America,actively carry out various work of home school cooperation under the mission of "child centered",and influence the formulation of government level home school cooperation policies,thereby providing guarantees for the achievement of home school cooperation goals.Thirdly,the organizational structure is an important guarantee for the orderly operation of the PTA.In addition to organizational structures such as membership structure,hierarchical structure,and authority structure,the PTA has also formulated organizational rules and regulations to standardize the operation and management of the PTA.Fourthly,the American Association of Parents and Teachers is committed to infiltrating the concept of home school cooperation in cultural construction.On the one hand,it actively creates a cultural atmosphere for home school cooperation,and on the other hand,it strives to build the association’s own culture.At the same time,it actively conducts parent training to enhance parents’ cultural literacy.Once again,in order to explore whether the organization’s role can achieve its expected goals,an analysis was conducted on the effectiveness of the Parent Teacher Association of America in carrying out home school cooperation activities.The results indicate that not only has the level of home school cooperation been further deepened,but also the stakeholders of home school cooperation have been developed.Finally,based on the practical experience of the Parent Teacher Association of the United States,we will explore the sinicization from four aspects: "adaptation","goal achievement","integration",and "maintenance" functions,providing empirical reflection for the construction of school cooperation organizations in our country.
