With the publication of the Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition),art education in China’s compulsory education stage has ushered in new development opportunities and challenges.The new standards emphasise "understanding the history and cultural traditions of different regions,ethnic groups and countries,understanding the relationship between culture and building a community of human destiny,and learning to respect,understand and tolerate." This requirement highlights the importance of traditional music culture in music education.The Wuning "drumming song" is a traditional musical form from Wuning County,Jiangxi Province,with rich historical and cultural connotations and artistic values.This study aims at explore the feasibility and effectiveness of incorporating the Wuning "drumming song" into the music classroom teaching of primary schools in Wuning County,and to experiment with it in practice.Since 2021,Wuning County Primary School No.8 has been working with the Wuning County Culture,Radio,Film,Television,Press and Publication Tourism Bureau to develop a project called the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop",which introduces intangible cultural heritage to schools,strengthens the team of intangible cultural heritage bearers and promotes the protection and development of national intangible cultural heritage projects.The project has enriched students’ extra-curricular music activities and provided strong practical and theoretical support for this study to explore the integration of Wuning drumming songs into primary school music classroom teaching.This study aims at explore the feasibility and effectiveness of integrating the Wuning drumming song into primary school music classroom teaching,mainly by investigating and analysing the current situation of teaching the Wuning drumming song,a national intangible cultural heritage project of Wuning County,in primary and secondary schools,and proposing a teaching design that combines the Wuning drumming song with scientific teaching methods,and in practice This study has provided a reliable theoretical basis and practical experience for the promotion and transmission of the Wuning drumming song.At the same time,this study also identifies the problems and challenges faced in using Wuning drumming songs in primary school music education,and proposes corresponding suggestions and countermeasures in order to promote the development of Wuning drumming songs,a local musical art with strong regional characteristics,in primary school music education.
