The result of the new round of curriculum reform reflects that the education circle pays more and more attention to the teaching of the history of science.This is a high recognition of the educational value of the history of biological science.So how do we tap into the educational value of the history of biological science? Many scholars and front-line teachers are trying to find the cut-in point of excavation,which has become a hot topic of research at present.The“False theory” in the history of biological science contains many educational values.therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to carry out the teaching of the history of biological science through “False theory” in the history of biological science.On the basis of summarizing the educational value of “False theory” in the history of biological science,this paper tries to excavate “False theory” inside and outside the textbook,put forward the realization path of the educational value of“False theory”and tests the validity of the educational value of “False theory” in practice.The details and results are as follows:1.This paper analyzes the contents of the history of science in the biology compulsory textbooks of Zhejiang senior high school,and excavates the false theories in and out of the textbooks based on certain principles and strategies.In addition,on this basis,proposed “False theory” education value realization path.2.Based on the proposed implementation path,two parallel classes of senior 1(7)and Senior 1(8)in a middle school in Lishui were used as experimental subjects,the change of students’ critical thinking level,their understanding of the nature of science and the change of the misconceptions were investigated before and after the experiment.The results:(1)Exploring the formation and correction process of “False theory” in the biology teaching is conducive to improving students’ critical thinking level(especially in the aspects of truth seeking and maturity,in which truth seeking refers to the willingness to pursue truth and the courage to ask questions,and maturity involves the maturity of cognition and philosophical epistemology).(2)It is helpful for students to understand the nature of science(especially the nature of scientific knowledge)by exploring the formation and correction process of“False theory” in the biology teaching.(3)In the teaching of biological science,it is helpful to discuss the formation and correction process of “False theory” to promote the transformation of students’ misconceptions.In spite of this,there are still some deficiencies in this teaching experiment,such as too few samples,less rigor in setting the questions and short experiment time.However,in general,this study can provide a new perspective for scholars to study the history of biological science teaching,and enrich the research breadth of the history of biological science teaching,it also provides practical reference for the teaching and research of the history of biological science.
