With the introduction of a series of vocational education teaching reform policies and the advent of the digital era of education,there is an urgent need to change the content of vocational education teaching,learning styles,the roles of teachers and students,and teaching evaluation,and to develop teaching in a richer and more varied form.The flipped classroom requires reversing the teaching process in the traditional teaching mode,providing students with rich learning resources to assist their learning,and the whole process is student-centred.Incorporating the OBE concept with the flipped classroom into the teaching reform of secondary education is in line with the needs of the state and the digital reform of education.This study adopts the literature research method to sort out the meaning and characteristics of OBE concept and flipped classroom teaching mode,and elaborates constructivism,education goal classification theory and competence-based education theory as the theoretical basis.To design the flipped classroom teaching model based on the OBE concept,the course objectives are determined according to the needs of enterprises for talents and the characteristics of students,and the teaching contents are reconstructed according to the course objectives.In the teaching process,a "three loops and ten steps" teaching process is designed,which is divided into an online self-learning session before class,a classroom learning session during class and an offline consolidation session after class,comprising ten steps in total.Afterwards,we investigate the current teaching situation of the middle-level "Warehousing Operations Practice" course,and find that there are problems of neglecting the cultivation of vocational competence in the setting of teaching objectives,one-sided teaching content,single teaching method and incomplete evaluation system,and analyse the feasibility and necessity of the new teaching mode in the middle-level "Warehousing Operations Practice" course.In the teaching practice stage,the flipped classroom teaching mode based on the OBE concept is applied to the middle-level "Warehouse Operations Practice" course,and the specific teaching design is elaborated with the "ABC classification management method" as an example.The experimental class was compared with the control class in terms of the quality of post-class assignments,final examination results,classroom learning,as well as questionnaires and interviews with students to analyse the effectiveness of the new teaching mode.The experimental study concludes that the application of the OBE-based flipped classroom teaching model in the secondary schoolcourse "Warehouse Operations Practice" is feasible and is conducive to enhancing students’ learning effectiveness and motivation.
